(1).one hundred and five 一百零五
辨析hundred与hundreds of
hundred表示具体“几百”为,基数词+hundred。
Hundreds of“成百上千的”,表示概数
hundred与具体数字连用,要用单数形式。类似用法的单词还有:thousand,million,billion等。
(2).It takes (sb.)some time to do sth. 是固定句型,意思为“做某事花费(某人)一些时间。”其中it为形式主语,真正的主语是后面的动词不定式“to do sth.”。
