E-cigarettes lead t as many lung diseases as tbacc prducts, a new study has fund. The reprt frm the University f Nrth Carlina at Chapel Hill cmpared saliva (唾液) samples frm tbacc smkers, e-cigarette smkers and nnsmkers. Researchers fund that e-cigarette smkers were likely t develp dangerus prteins assciated with lung diseases. The study adds t a grwing bdy f evidence prving that e-cigarettes might nt be the perfect alternative smkers addicted t tbacc are lking fr.
Last year a Surgen General’s reprt claimed that the use f e-cigarettes amng a certain grup f peple jumped 900 percent frm 2011 t 2015 and mre studies were carried ut t research their side effects. That same year, the FDA put e-cigarettes in the tbacc prducts the administratin mnitrs.
Previus research frm UCLA has prven that e-cigarettes can cause lifelng damage t ne’s heart, and that ne puff (吸一口烟) f an e-cigarette is all it takes t increase ne’s risk f having a heart attack. Fr the new study UNC researchers bserved 15 e-cigarette users, 14 cigarette smkers and 15 nnsmkers. Study authr Dr Mehmet Keismer said, “There is cnfusin abut whether e-cigarettes are ‘safer’ than cigarettes because the ptential adverse effects f e-cigarettes are nly beginning t be studied. A British research scientist, Dr. Kean is training 170 rats t be sent int earthquake ruins t d vital wrk in finding earthquake survivrs.
