(1)     Learn the new and phrases in page 4: write, show, or, talk, talk to, kung fu,play the piano, play the violin, play the drums, play the guitar...

(2)     Listen and understand the tape.

(3)     Sentences Pattern: Can+主语+动原+其他？

                Yes, 主语+ can./ No, 主语+ can’t, but...

(4)  Grammar: 情态动词can 的肯定句、否定句、一般疑问句及肯定和否定回答、特殊疑问句的构成。

2.Ability Objectives: To talk about abilities and improve the abilities of listening and speaking.

3.Emotional Objectives:培养学生的英语听说能力，同时培养学生的兴趣爱好，通过才艺示提高学生的英语学习自信心。

四.  Key points and Difficult Point:

1. Key points: (1)Use modal verb “can” to ask and talk about abilities.(2)Distinguish “play+the+乐器” and “play + 球类、棋类名称”
2. Difficult points: The use of modal verb “can” and listening practice.

六. Teaching Procedures

Step1: Greeting and warm-up

1. Greeting: Good morning ,boys and girls.
2. Review words and expressions

Look at the PPT and name the instruments

Teacher: Can you name all the instruments?

Students: No.

Teacher: Which one don’t you know？Let’s learn this lesson together.

通过图片展示，帮助学生回忆上节课的内容，从而对本课将要涉及的单词有整体了解。

Step2:lead-in(show the pictures of instruments)

1.      Guessing games.(Listen the sound of instruments and guess.)
2.      Look at the PPT and name the instruments

Teacher: Can you name all the instruments?

Students: No.

Teacher: Which one don’t you know？Let’s learn this lesson together.

利用Guessing games，吸引学生的课堂注意力，顺势导入新课。

Step3: Pres-listening

1. Work on Activity 1a.

Draw lines to match the words with the pictures.

2. Understand the words and expressions in Activity 1d, then guide the students to do the conversations according to the conversation in 1c.

A: Can you play the violin?

B: Yes, I can./ No, I can’t.

听前活动中，连线搭配和简单的对话，可以对学生进行听力练习铺垫，对话练习可以帮助学生更好更快地理解下一环节的听力内容，使学生快速通关。

Step4: While-listening
1. listening practice 1(1b).

(1)     listen for the first time and number the words [1-4] in the order of the sounds you hear in 1b. .

(2)     Listen for the second time and check the answer together.

2. Listening practice 2(1d).

(1) listen for the first time and circle the words and phrases you hear..

(2) Listen for the second time and check the answer together.

3. Listening practice 3(1e)

(1) listen for the first time and fill in the chart with the words and phrases in 1d.

(2) Listen for the second time.

(3) Ask and answer questions to check your answers.

由于七年级学生的尚未具有较高听力能力水平，所以在听力过程中反复播放听力，甚至在长难句作短暂停顿，可帮助学生获取听力关键信息，正确做题，同时也可培养学生的英语学习自信心。

Step5: Post-listening( Activity 1f)

1. Read the typescripts after the tape.
2. Pair-work1: Talk about what Bill, Cindy and Frank can or can’t do.

A: Can Bill play the violin?

B: Yes, he can./ No, he can’t, but he can...

C: What can Bill do?

D: He can...

C: What can’t he do?

D: He can’t...

   听后活动目的在于检查学生是否能够正确输出本课的目标句型，检查教学目标是否实现。

Step6: Consolidation

Pair-work2: Talk about what you can or can’t do?

C: What can he/she do?

D: He/she can...

C: What can’t he/she do?

巩固环节让学生谈论自己的能力，一方面拉近学生与课本知识的空间距离，另一方面可以锻炼提高自己的口语表达能力。

Step7: Summary and Homework
