like to do与like doing的意思都是“喜欢做...，like to do表示一次性或偶然性的动作。like doing指习惯性和经常性的。

 例子： He likes to sing today.

Now the children cannot play in his garden.

这是一个否定句，cannot是情态动词can的否定式，等于can't，后面接动词原形，没有人称、时态和数的变化。

 例子： The bird cannot fly.
