【辨析】spend，take，cost，pay

四个词都有花费的意思，但是在主语上有所不同

(1)spend作主语的是人，如：

I spent $30 buying the bike.= I spent $30 on the bike. 我花了30美元买了那辆自行车。

(2)take作主语的常是代词it，构成句型：It takes sb. some time/money to do sth.

如：It takes me one hour to do homework.

(3)cost作主语的是事物。常指花费金钱。如：The pen cost me 5 yuan.

(4)pay 作主语的是人，一般与介词for 连用。如：I have to pay for your lunch.

I live in a noisy neighborhood. It’s noisy because there is a park and some clothes stores near my house, and people would like to take a walk in the park or go shopping in the clothes stores on weekends. So I don’t like staying at home on weekends. I always go to a book store near my house to read some novels. To get there, I just need to walk out and turn left on Center Street. And then go along the street, the book store is on the right of a restaurant.
