     (2) 辨析:ther, thers, the ther, the thers和anther ①ther形容词,意为“其他的”,位于名词之前。  Yu can try ther games. 你可以尝试一下其他的游戏。 ②thers代词,意为“其他的人或事”。sme... thers...表示“一些……一些……”。  Sme peple like sprts but thers dn't. 一些人喜欢运动,但有些人不喜欢。 ③the ther常与ne构成固定搭配“ne... the ther”,意为“一个……另一个……”。  They have tw daughters.     (2) prvide动词,意为“提供;供给”。prvide sth. fr sb.意为“为某人提供某物”,相当于prvide sb. with sth.。 The restaurant prvides gd meals fr the wrkers. 这家饭店为工人们提供好的膳食。 Mary prvides his brther with mney. 玛丽供给他的弟弟钱。
    (3)that引导一个定语从句,修饰前面的先行词rganizatin。先行词是物时,定语从句的引导词用that或which。 My father wrks in a factry that prduces washing machines. 我的父亲在一家生产洗衣机的工厂工作。 [拓展] 当先行词是人时,定语从句用that或wh引导。 I talked t the man that/ wh made a speech just nw. 我跟刚才发表演讲的人交谈了。
    4. We sld tickets and, in the end, we made abut $300. 我们卖票,最终我们筹得了大约300美元。 辨析:in the end, at the end f与by the end f (1) in the end意为“最后;最终”,相当于at last或finally,后面不能再接f短语。 They reached an agreement in the end.  最后,他们达到了一致意见。 In the end, we wn the game. 我们最终赢得了比赛的胜利。
