Teaching aims:

2. Be skilled in oral expression of greetings.

How was your weekend? - It was wonderful.

3.语法: 部分动词过去式的使用。
Analysis of key items and difficulties of teaching:
Function: Greetings in students’ daily life.
- Listening: Students can understand others’ greetings by listening.
- Speaking: Students can introduce themselves and greet with others.
Character building:
Motivate students’ interest in learning English. Make friends with all students.
Teaching steps(教学步骤)
1. Vocabulary study:
Step 1: Play the recording and have them point out the words and phrases in Activity 1.
Step 2: Play the recording again and have them read after the tape.
Step 3: Have the students match the phrases and pictures in PPT.
Step 4: Have the students match the phrases and pictures in Activity6 and check their answer with their partner.
2. Dialogue study:
Step 1: Practice the dialogue with the whole class and have them make corresponding reacts.
Step 2: Have students to practise the previous dialogue with their partner.
- Play a game:
Invite Ss to practise the dialogues.
Practice
1) S1: My weekend was so wonderful.
S2: What did you do?
S1: I watched a tennis game. Li Na won the game.
2) S3: My weekend was fun.
S4: What did you do?
S3: I went to zoo and saw many cute pandas.
3) T: My weekend was bad.
S: What did you do?
T: I played a basketball match with my friends. But we lost.
...
4. Presentation:
1. Show a picture with Eric, let Ss guess what Eric wants to say to us.
The answer is “wonderful” or “bad” Then help them to say: “wonderful” or “bad”
2. Practise “How was your weekend?”.
