教学过程： Step1 Lead-in Ask students about their favorite sports and sports stars. Brainstorm Team sports and individual sports.
Step2 Pre-listening T asks Ss what words or phrases they think of when they see the word “basketball”. Present vocabulary and sentences to talk about a game.
Step3 While-listening The first listening task: a dialogue between Tony and his father talking about the basketball match. Ss listen to the first dialogue and fill in the blanks in Activity 2.
The second listening task: a dialogue among Tony and his friends talking about the basketball match. Ss listen to the second dialogue and check the questions Betty and Ling ask Tony. Ss listen again and complete the table.
Step4 Read and discuss Ss read the dialogue and discuss about the following questions. What do Betty and Lingling say to Tony? Why do Betty and Lingling make Tony angry? Do you think Betty and Lingling are good classmates? If you were Tony, would you train harder to win?
Step5 Finish some tasks Complete the sentences in Activity 4. Complete the passage with the words in the box in Activity 5.
Step6 Pronunciation Practice Listen and decide which words are weak and which words are strong. Listen and repeat the sentence.
Step8 Practice Word in pairs. And talk about your favorite sports teams or sports stars. Who they are What sports they do Why you like them —My favorite ports team is ... They always try hard to ... —Yes, I agree with you. And I think ...
作业布置： Level A 1. Remember the new words and phrases. 2. Listen and read the conversation three times. Level B Recite the conversation and write your own conversation about a sports match and a sports team.
