    Fr the past 18 years, Deng Xialan wrked as a vlunteer teacher in a village called Malan in Fuping, Hebei Prvince. Brn in 1943, Deng was raised by lcal farmers until she was three.
    During Qingming Festival in 2003, Deng tk part in an event in Malan in memry f martyrs(烈

    The Sanxingdui ruins belnged t the Shu Kingdm that existed at least 4,800 years ag and
    lasted mre than 2,000 years, while the Mayan civilizatin built its city-states arund 200 AD.
