My family and I belnged t a cuntry club lcated acrss the street frm the Lng Island Sund. Each summer, the big attractin fr us was the pl. As much as I wuld have liked t have life stand still, it desn’t. My children utgrew their pl days and mved n. But the pl was still fur blcks frm my hme, s I began t take up swimming again. And it was far better than I ever culd have imagined. I gt s much ut f it that I jined the lcal pl s I culd swim year-rund. Whenever I swam, I wuld always cme ut feeling physically and mentally refreshed. I ften felt that if I lked hard enugh, I wuld be able t see all f the wrries and prblems I’ve had in life, sitting at the bttm f the pl!
