1. Lk and learn:
a. Lk at the fruits, dd ut the different ne. Learn adjectives: sweet, sur.
b. Read different fds and learn adjectives t describe taste: cakes, sweet, nuts, salty, chillies, spicy, lemns, sur.
2. Lk and say:
a. Lk at the pictures, T invites sme Ss t read the mdel dialgues first, then the whle class read tgether:
1) S1: D yu like vegetable salad?
S2: Yes. I like vegetable salad.
S1: Why?
S2: I like vegetable salad because it is tasty. It’s sur, salty and sweet.
2) S1: D yu like vegetable salad?
S2: N. I dn’t like vegetable salad.
S1: Why nt?
S2: I dn’t like vegetable salad because it is t salty.
b. Practise the dialgues: Ss wrk in pairs, and then make dialgues abut fur fds accrding t the mdel.

3. Lk and learn:
Lk at the picture, answer the questin: Hw des cffee taste? Learn the adjective: bitter. Then think and answer the ther questin: Why d we add sugar t cffee? Try t get the answer: T make it sweet.
4. Lk and read: Lk at the pictures, read after the tape sentence by sentence. Then Ss read by themselves and T invites sme Ss t read in rles.
5. Read and answer: Answer sme questins accrding t the text.

Find ut: Ss can walk rund the classrm. Try t find what flavur the peple in different places have. E.g.: Cantnese (sweet), Shanghainese (sweet and salty), Sichuanese (spicy)
Make cmments:
Ss lk back at the survey frm. Use the cues in the bx t make cmments n grup members’ favurite fd. Then T invites sme Ss.
