Learn the poems about pets2. help students better know the habits of some pets 教学对象The seventh grade student first contact with the poems and they need the guidance of a teacher in reading ability, so at the beginning, I ask students to read by themselves and make them experience the rhymes in English poems. Then help them find the rhymes in each sentences and enjoy the beauty of English poems. 教学目标To know how to read the English poems.To find the rhymes in each sentence.To use new words to talk about pets. 教学策略1. Guess and understand the meanings of some new words according to the poems2. Help students enjoy the beauty of English poems3. Show pictures to revise words about pets2.Get students to ask and answer in pairs about the reasons they like the pets. Present pictures to tell students guess which pets the teacher like. Show pictures of dogs and teach the new words and phrases: do wonderful tricks/hunt/hide/bark/bite/fight/till the end. 1.Tell the students:Here’s a poem about a dog. Please .read it and tell me what the dog can do. Make the students read the poem My dog.2. Listen to the tape and help the students mark the rhymes in each sentence 1. Present the pictures of goldfish and say “ I also like goldfish very much. I know a lot about them. What about you? Would you like to answer some questions about goldfish?”2. Present some questions about goldfish and communicate with the students.3. Teach some new words and phrases in the second poem. 1. Ask the students to read after the tape.2. Group them in groups of four, and ask them to find out the rhymes in the second poem . 3.Do the exercises in Part B1 on Page 95. Students practice in groups of four to read some famous English poems. Read the poems after classRevise the new words and phrasesStudents review the words about pets and try to talk about the reasons in their own words Learn new words and phrases. Read and try to find out the rhymes 1. Listen and go through the poem quickly. 2. Work in groups and try to find out the rhymes. 1. Read the poem together.2. Group work and try to find out the rhymes in the second poem . Ask some students to read aloud in class.Review the words about pets Let the students learn new words and important phrases about animals. Try to enjoy the beauty of English poems Let the students learn more about the animals and their features. Let the students know what an English poem is.And also train the student how to read English poems. Make students have fun learning English poems. Revise the knowledge.
