Beijing has four distinct seasons. Spring is time for the capital city to dress in blossoms. It might be common to enjoy the fragrance of flowers elsewhere, but in Beijing, they can be appreciated alongside the ancient buildings nestled among them. Here is a quick guide of the best routes of themed spring tours for visitors.
    Winter jasmine
These golden-yellow flowers can be widely seen in Beijing in March. Their beauty is amplified by the red walls and green tiles of historical buildings.
At the northern gate of Beihai Park, winter jasmine provides a picturesque scene against the backdrop of water, hills and pedestrian activity and has been a lasting favorite of photographers. The blossoms are brought out by the nearby lake stones of various shapes and sizes.
In Zhongshan Park, winter jasmine breathes life into the solemn atmosphere of the royal site, where sacrificial ceremonies were once held during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
    Yulan magnolias
Its flowering phase is very short, as if showing a never-say-die courage and pride. Many love the plant for the flowers that blossom before leafing. The best time to see it is usually from the last week of March to mid-April.
Yulan magnolias usually appear first along Chang’ an Avenue, and locals consider it a sign of the real approaching of spring. The blossoms look best on the western side of the avenue. Visitors should also look out for the spread of purple magnolias in the northwestern corner of the street, near the National Center for the Performing Arts.
The Summer Palace has a long history of planting Yulan magnolias. Every time they blossom, the longevity Hall is filled with fragrance.

Born in 1992, Yang Zi grew up with the audience. In 2004, Home with Kids made her a daughter beloved by the whole country.
Since her debut, the phrase “appearance anxiety” has always been associated with Yang Zi. In the following years, she didn’t get any chance to act, which seemed to be an indirect proof that she is not pretty enough. It was so hard to get a role that she worked out every day for over two months to prepare for it. A week before shooting, she was replaced by “an actress with great commercial value”. Because popularity means commercial value, and commercial value is the only passport. Therefore, some actors have decided to turn their backs on their acting skills and compete for popularity. However, she didn’t want to give up or resign herself to fate.
Without commercial value, Yang Zi had to blow down. She naturally understood the risks of accepting bad scripts and knew that was a difficult road, but she had to face it. As a result, she was caught up in a storm of public criticism. While her peers were becoming popular through various idol dramas, she was the only one who was still struggling to make a name for herself in various bad dramas.
She worked really hard and she really determined. Even though she finally escaped a child star’s doom, public criticism against her appearance has not diminished. Since she took on The Legend of Chusen, netizens have been ridiculing her incessantly. Many netizens criticized, “How can you have the courage to play a stunning beauty when you look so ugly?”
Yang Zi said she felt like walking in a heavy fog. There was no longer a path ahead and no way back either.
The roles she has played in Ode to Joy, Ashes of Love are of different characters, but Yang Zi has become a recognized “acting textbook” by way of her acting skills that beat those of her peers. Appearance is a necessary powerful tool. But from the audience’s point of view, appearance is not the reason for her popularity. The world of acting should not be a battle between the popular and the skilled, but a battle between actors and between characters.
Yang Zi has a clear understanding of her own popularity, and is glad that the audience fall in love with her because of her film and television works, not of her appearance. She knows that anything that is external will sooner or later be changed with time passing by. In the entertainment industry where popularity constantly changes, excellent acting is the key and good woks are her greatest confidence. Yang Zi has come through the hard times when she had no drama to shoot. She is still the greatest popular actress with good acting skills.
24.According to the passage, which of the following statements is TRUE?
A.Since her debut, she has been given many chances to act.
B.She has always gained popularity among audience.
C.She has decided not to turn her back on her acting skills.
D.She has always been an actress with great commercial value.
25.Which of the following words can best describe Yang Zi from the passage?
A.Lovely and gifted. B.Inspiring and determined.
C.Energetic and intelligent. D.Hard-working and outgoing
26.What does the underlined word “diminished” in Paragraph 4 probably mean?
    A.Increased. B.Appeared. C.Accumulated. D.Lessened.
27.What has possibly contributed to Yang Zi’s success in her career?
A.Her charming appearance. B.Her excellent acting.
C.Her courage to play different characters. D.Her gift for acting.

For the past few years, several companies have been trying to create the perfect portable air conditioner, and it’s a task that’s taken on new urgency as extreme heat waves spread across the world. They’ve tried self - cooling undershirts, wrist - worn cooling plates, and windowless cooling machines. But so far, none seem quite as practical as the Coolify, a $150 wearable that hangs around your neck.
Torras, the company behind Coolify, says its version is different from those cheap neck fans, even if it looks similar on the surface. That’s largely because of its ceramic cooling plate that sits right behind your neck. By running the plate, the device creates a cooling sense. “Basically, a neck fan can sometimes just blow hot air around,” Torras spokesman Jackson Wightman says. “This is genuinely an air conditioner as a result of the cooling plate.”
The Coolify conics in smooth plastic and has circular speaker grilles (格栅) on either side of its horseshoe design, somewhat resembling a pair of headphones. Look through either grille, and you’ll see a fan that draws in air and pushes it out through the long pair of passages above.
The device runs on a built - in battery that charges via USB - C.Torras says the battery lasts between two hours and eight hours on a charge, depending on which of its three fan speeds ( H / M /L) you select.
One downside ta the Coolify and to neck fans in general is that they’re ugly looking wearing this device. Then again, pretty much everyone wanted to try it for themselves, and they were all pleasantly surprised by its cooling effects.
Spending $150 on this might seem expensive. But the real appeal of a device like Coolify - and of wearable air conditioners in general - is that they can spare you from having to turn on the A / C just when one person in feeling hot. The Coolify fulfills that goal, so we could pay for it in the long run.
28.Why have many companies tried to create the portable air conditioner?
A.Because other cooling products are not available.
B.Because companies can make profits from them.
C.Because science and technology has been advanced.
D.Because the world is becoming hotter and hotter.
29.What can be inferred from the passage?
A.Coolify is cheaper than other air conditioners.
B.Coolify looks different on the surface from other neck fans.
C.Coolify has a design similar to a pair of headphones.
D.Coolify is comfortable and good looking to wear.
30.How can you make Coolify run as long time as it can?
A.By charging it for 5 hours.
    B.By choosing a built - in battery.
C.By choosing the low fan speed.
D.By using USB - C to offer power for it.
31.What is the main idea of the last paragraph?
A.The Coolify has surprising cooling effects.
    B.The Coolify is worth buying.
C.The Coolify is appealing to everyone.
D.The Coolify is the best air conditioner.

Late one night in 1982, a Yale University medical student named Martin witnessed a miserable scene at a local hospital. A toddler was admitted, and several nurses attempted to insert an IV needle into one of the child’s tiny veins. Each time they missed the vessel, the child screamed more shrilly, and the mother grew more worried.
There has to be a better way, thought Martin, now a professor of biomedical engineering at Rutgers University. The incident changed his outlook on medicine. Thoroughly frightened by what he had witnessed, Martin started to imagine what would happen if the process of drawing blood could be automated.
At that time, automation was found primarily on assembly lines for cars, where robots were so powerful and dangerous that they were fixed to the ground and enclosed in metal cages. In 1985, a modified robotic arm was used to perform a brain biopsy on a 52-year- old man. Today, surgical robots are commonplace in medical facilities around the world. Controlled by doctors wielding virtual forceps and scalpels in front of a computer terminal, they help perform a range of complex procedures, from hip replacements to kidney transplants. Despite these advances, the deployment of robots in hospitals has been limited: They assist in some of the most highly skilled tasks in health care, while remaining apparently absent in scenes like the one Martin witnessed as a medical student. Martin’s biomedical engineering lab has spent the past decade trying to repair this imbalance. Thanks to advances in sensors and artificial intelligence that have improved the quality and lowered the cost of robotics, they are now developing a blood - draw robot small enough for clinicians to carry in their pockets.
It’s an expensive proposal, which faces funding challenges. But, as scientists point out, the novel corona virus presents a novel situation - one where applications for the machine could expand beyond a routine blood draw to include antibody testing and vaccination. In the future, automated venipuncture (静脉穿刺) could also lead to greater safety for both patients and medical personnel by removing the need for unnecessary physical contact.
32.What inspired Martin to automate the process of drawing blood?
    A.His curiosity about medicine.
    B.His dream since his childhood.
C.His desire to ease the suffering of people.
    D.His sympathy for the toddler.
33.What can be teamed about blood-draw robots?
A.They are highly skilled in health care tasks.
B.Their application in hospitals has been limited.
C.Their future use in more medical fields is promising.
D.They help control the spread of the novel coronavirus.
34.What is the author’s attitude towards blood-draw robots from the last paragraph?
    A.Supportive. B.Critical C.Puzzled. D.Objective.
35.In which part of a newspaper can you read the passage?
    A.Science. B.Economy. C.Entertainment. D.Education.

It’s very hard to write your own resume because a resume is a macro view of your life, but you live your life at the micro level. 36. Here are three ideas that guide professional resume writers and should guide you as well:
Don’t focus on your responsibilities, focus on what you achieved.
A resume is not your life story. No one cares. The only things that should be on your resume are achievements. The best way to show that you did your job well is from achievements. 37. It is an objective way to show that you impressed the people you work for. The next best way to show objective measures is to present quantified achievements.
    38.
Think about when a company announced the launch of their product. First of all, the product is not done. Second of all, it has bugs. And third, the company is probably showing photos of prototypes and the real thing will look different. 39., because a resume is a marketing document. The best marketing documents show the product in the very best light, which means using whatever most outrageous tactics possible to make you look good. As long as you are not lying, you will be fine.
Don’t give everything away in the resume.
The idea of a resume is to get someone to call you, talk with you on the phone, and offer you an interview. So a resume is like a first date. 40.
A.You only show your best stuff and you don’t show it all.
B.So I recommend to a lot of people that they hire someone to help them.
C.However, some of you will be able to do a decent job writing your own resume.
D.In fact, the interview is where the hard-core selling takes place.
E.You need to take the same approach with your resume.
F.The best achievement is a promotion.
G.Don’t make your resume a moral statement; it’s a marketing document.

W: No, I don’t think it’s a good idea. You know, I’m terribly afraid of snakes.

W: Welcome to Student Life! Today we’re going to talk about setting up a project of student jobs in your school. Having students do different jobs around the school is a great way to prepare them for life in the real world. It encourages them to be responsible and also helps them learn new tasks and gain experience. However, it’s important to get students excited about the project, so the first thing you should do is let students know this project. Get the headmaster to make an announcement explaining the project. OK? Then decide on the jobs you want and write out the descriptions of the skills and responsibilities needed for each position. Some typical jobs are Classroom Assistants, Recycling Officers and Computer Assistants. Next, ask students to apply for the jobs. Students should be encouraged to write letters of application for the job they are interested in. This is a great way to practice letter writing skills! And don’t forget, you should make sure that students are guided by a teacher so that they take their responsibilities seriously. A committee then reviews all the applications and gives jobs to the most suitable applicants. Finally, it’s important to get opinions from the students about the project, to find out which jobs are successful and which don’t go so well.

1.根据前文“It’s very hard to write your own resume because a resume is a macro view of your life, but you live your life at the micro level.”(自己写简历很难,因为简历是你生活的宏观视角,但你的生活是微观层面的。)后文“Here are three ideas that guide professional resume writers and should guide you as well”(这里有三个建议可以指导专业的简历撰写者,也可以指导你。) C.“However, some of you will be able to do a decent job writing your own resume.”(不过,你们中的一些人可以自己写一份像样的简历。)
2.根据前文“The only things that should be on your resume are achievements. The best way to show that you did your job well is from achievements.”(你的简历上唯一应该写的就是成就。 F. “The best achievement is a promotion.”(最好的成就就是升职。)
根据下文“Think about when ... the real thing will look different.”(想想当一个公司宣布他们的产品上市时。 “The best marketing documents show the product in the very best light, which means using whatever most outrageous tactics possible to make you look good.”(最好的营销文件会以最好的方式展示产品,也就是说,尽可能使用最离谱的策略来让你(产品)看起来更好。) G. “Don’t make your resume a moral statement; it’s a marketing document.”(不要把你的简历当成一种道德宣言,它是一份营销文件。)
下文“because a resume is a marketing document. ”(因为简历是一份营销文件。)所以此处应该是讲述对我们的简历我们同样采用产品营销的方法来做。选项E.“You need to take the same approach with your resume.”(你的简历也要用同样的方法。)
5.根据前文“The idea of a resume is to get someone to call you, talk with you on the phone, and offer you an interview. So a resume is like a first date.”(简历的目的就是让别人给你打电话,和你通电话,给你一个面试机会。 A. “You only show your best stuff and you don’t show it all.”(你只展示你最好的东西,而不是全部。)

A.on time按时;B.every time每一次;C.in time及时;D.over time随着时间的推移。根据下文“This morning I fold her how much I loved her... and loved being__19___to her. You should have seen her smile!”
A.thrown扔;B.invited邀请;C.released释放,发布;D.admitted准许进入,承认。 短语:be admitted to“被……录取,被准许进入”,符合题意 。故选D。

    6.考查名词词义辨析。句意同上。A.uniforms制服;B.cards卡片;C.beds床;D.supplies供应品。

A.frustrating令人沮丧的;B.amazing令人惊奇的;C.delightful高兴的;D.stressful有压力的。根据下文“I’d give anything if he’d say ‘I love you’, but it’s just not in his___9___.” 故选A。
A.hand手;B.nature自然;C.control控制;D.appearance外貌。根据下文““I don’t have to,” he said. “she knows I do!”可知,比尔认为他不用向妻子说“我爱你”,妻子会明白的。所以这里指说“我爱你”不是他的天性。短语:in one's nature“某人的天性”,故选B。
    10.考查动词词义辨析。句意:比尔每天都去看康妮。A.cared照顾;B.visited看望;C.tricked戏弄;D.raised升起。
A.waking醒着的;B.walking走着的;C.sleepy睡着的;D.energetic精力充沛的。 故选A。

A.humorous幽默的;B.cute可爱的;C.lazy懒惰的;D.crazy疯狂的,不明智的。
A.shared分享;B.told告诉;C.meant意味着;D.wanted想做。根据前文“be married 32 years to a man who often called her “a silly woman””可知此处指我告诉比尔,康妮要听到的是她对比尔这一生意味着什么。故选C。
A.September 九月;B.March三月;C.February二月;D.January一月。根据下文“Two days later, Connie died ”及“There, on the bedside table, was a large Valentine card ”可知,床边的桌子上放着 “情人节快乐”的卡片,也就是说康妮去世时恰逢情人节(2月14日),所以此处应是指2月12日。故选C。

分析可知,that ____2___ (be) popular in Western countries over the past years为定语从句,空白处在从句中作谓语,从句主语为Murder & Mystery Party,为单数含义,结合句中over the past years可知,此处要用现在完成时。故填has been。
故填an。
分析可知,____5___(found) in late 2017在句中为定语,修饰名词Tuili Dashi,found与名词Tuili Dashi为动宾关系,所以此处要用过去分词。故填founded。
故填with。
根据下文“they need to diversify contents and develop more stories”可知空白处指的是游戏的组织者们,所以此处要用名词复数表泛指。故填organizers。

故删除for。
故See改为Seeing。
故the改为an。
固定短语:with one's help“在某人的帮助下”,结合句意,此处under改为with。故Under改为With。
所以them改为their。故them改为their。
    72.Dear fellow citizens,
As we all know, the electric bike, with its small size and convenience as well as satisfying speed, has become the most commonly used and practical traffic tool for most people. However, because of the lack of awareness of road safety, riding electric bikes can bring about many potential problems. Even worse, without helmets, people are risking their lives while riding.
In order to mitigate the consequence of traffic accidents and reduce the death rate in such a case, at present our city is carrying out a campaign where electric bike riders must wear helmets. According to the traffic regulations and rules, electric bike riders without helmets are to be warned or pay a fine for it .
My appeal is that the electric bikes riders should buy qualified safety helmets and wear them for the safety of themselves and other people. What's more, I strongly advocate that all of us should take the initiative to learn road traffic safety laws and regulations. And your active participation in this activity will mean a lot in the process of building our city into a prosperous and civilized modern city.
    Yours sincerely,
    Li Hua
