名词的句法功能：主语、宾语、定语等
名词与主谓一致：当名词作主语时谓语动词要与主语在数上保持一致。
中考对于名词的考查主要侧重于以下几点：1.可数名词的复数形式 2.名词所有格的用法3.不可数名词的量的表达 4.易混名词的辨析5.名词的句法运用 6.名词与主谓一致 考查形式主要有：单项选择题和完形填空题。

1. 什么是名词？2.名词可以分为哪几类？
专有名词（人名、地名）
集体名词 family，peple等
个体名词chair,bk等
物质名词wd,wine等
抽象名词air,water等
名词：表示人、事物、地点及抽象概念名称的词。
1.可数名词的单数该如何变成复数形式呢？2.它们的变化有规则可循吗？
可数名词的复数找规律,总结规则
(1) 一般复数在名词后加“s”/s/r/z/* bk – bks * flwer – flwers
(2) 以s、x、ch、sh结尾的名词加“es”/iz/ * bus-buses *bx – bxes * watch –watches * dish-dishes
(3)以辅音字母加y结尾的名词,变y为i加“es” /iz/ * factry – factries *baby---babies 请注意：如果是元音字母加y 结尾的名词则只须加“s” * by – bys * mnkey – mnkeys
(4) 以f、fe 结尾的名词,通常变f、fe 为v再加“es” /vz/请记住：妻子持刀去宰狼，小偷吓得发了慌；躲在架后保己命，半片树叶遮目光。
wife—wives 妻子 wlf—wlves狼 thief—thives小偷 shelf—sheves架子 self—selves自己 life—lives生命 half—haves 一半 leaf—leaves树叶

(5) 以结尾的名词,一般情况加s,读作/z/.ptat，tmat，her除外 * pian – pians * z – zs * ptat – ptates * tmat – tmates
(6) 变man为 men man – men wman – wmen pliceman – plicemen Englishman--Englishmen Frenchman – Frenchmen
请区别：German(德国人) – Germans (“中日”不变“英法”变，其余s加后面.Chinese—Chinese Japanese—JapaneseEnglishman—Englishmen Frenchman--Frenchmen)
1.单复数同形Chinese – Chinese fish –fish Japanese – Japanese sheep–sheep 2.变元音字母为ee tth – teeth ft – feet gse—geese
3.常以复数形式出现的名词 peple clthes shes trusers glasses 注意：这些名词作主语时，注意它们的谓语用复数 * My clthes are newer than yurs.
(1)将中心词变为复数 girlfriend – girlfriends grandchild – grandchildren (2) man,wman 构成的合成词，每个名词都要变成复数 a man dctr – men dctrs a wman teacher – wmen teachers
