探究一：英语中人们如何问路和指路？

探究二：where 引导的特殊疑问句及其回答。
where是特殊疑问词，汉语“哪里, 某地”的意思。一般用来询问地点。where引导疑问句时， 主谓要求倒装，且助动词必须与后面的主语保持一致。Where’s the park? It’s n Center Street.Where are the bks? They are n the desk.
第一种情况：询问人在哪里，住在哪里，或来自哪里。
Where d yu live? I live in Changsha.Where des he live? He lives in Mexic City.
Where is he? He is in the classrm. 他在哪里？他在教室里。Where is he frm? He is frm England. 他来自于哪里？他来自于英国。
第二种情况：询问物在哪里。
Where is yur schlbag? It’s in my bedrm.Where are yur keys? They’re n the chair.
表示物体位置的介词有：in(在…里面), n(在…上面), between …and …(在…和…之间), near(在…附近), next t(紧挨着…), acrss frm(在…对过), in frnt f(在…前面), behind(在…后面).
探究三：there be 句型的结构和用法。
There be 句型常用来表示客观 存在，表示“某地存在某物或某人”，其中的there没有实际意义，常弱读成/ðə/。be动词的单复数要与后面的名词保持一致。此句型构成形式一般为 “there be + 某人/物 + 地点/时间”，意为：在某地有某物（或某人）。
一、there be结构的主谓一致
1. there be结构中的be动词要和其后的名词在数上保持一致。在there be 结构中，如果be动词后的主语为可数名词单数或不可数名词，be动词用is；如果be动词后的主语为可数名词复数，be动词用复数形式。 be动词用are。
含有there be结构的句子，一般什么时候用动词is，什么时候用are?
There is a man under the tree. 树下有一个人。There is sme milk in the bttle. 瓶子里有一些牛奶。
There are many trees in the park. 公园里有很多树。
2. 如果be动词后面的主语为两个或两个以上的名词，be动词要和离它最近的那个名词在数上保持一致，即遵循“就近原则”。There is a ruler and tw erasers n the desk. 桌子上有一把尺子和两块橡皮。There are tw erasers and ne ruler n the desk. 桌子上有两块橡皮和一把尺子。
二、there be结构的句式变化
There be（is/are）＋某物/某人＋某地/某时。
There is a pencil n the desk. 桌子上有一支铅笔。
There are tw pens in the pencil case. 铅笔盒里有两支钢笔。
A. There be（is/are）＋nt＋某物/某人＋某地/某时。
注意：原句中如有sme一词，也应改为any.
There are sme desks in the rm．房间里有些课桌。
There aren’t any desks in the rm．房间里没有课桌。
B.另一种否定结构是在be后n
There is n + 单数可数名词/不可数名词There is n bk in my bag. --There isn’t a bk in my bag.There is n water in the cup. --There isn’t any water in the cup.
There are n + 复数可数名词There are n pictures n the wall.--There aren’t any pictures n the wall.
3.一般疑问句句型结构：
Be（Is/Are）there＋某物/某人＋某地/某时？
There are sme birds in the picture.图画中有些鸟。
Are there any birds in the picture? 图画中有鸟吗?
对疑问句的回答：如果是肯定的，答:Yes, there is. 或:Yes, there are．如果是否定的，答: N,there isn’t.或: N, there aren't．
4.特殊疑问句句型结构：
There be句型的特殊疑问句有以下三种形式。
对主语提问：当主语是人时，用 “Wh’s + 介词短语?”；当主语是物时，用 “What’s + 介词短语?”。其中there在口语中常常省略。注意：无论原句的主语是单数还是复数，对其提问时一般都用be的单数形式(回答时却要根据实际情况来决定)。如：There is a man in the rm.
2. 对地点状语提问：用 “Where is / are + 主语?”表示（注意其答语变化）。如: There is a cmputer in my ffice. → Where is the cmputer? — It’s in my ffice. There are fur children in the classrm. →Where are the fur children? — They’re in the classrm.

3. 对数量提问：一般有两种提问方式。1) 如果主语是可数名词，无论是单数还是 复数，都用“Hw many +可数名词复数 + are there + 介词短语？”表示： There are twelve mnths in a year. →Hw many mnths are there in a year? There is nly ne bk in my bag. → Hw many bks are there in yur bag? There is a cat in the bx. → Hw many cats are there in the bx?
2) 如果主语是不可数名词，则用“ Hw much + 不可数名词 + is there + 介词短语？”表示：There is sme mney in my purse. → Hw much mney is there in yur purse?
三、there be结构与have区别
There be句型强调客观存在,表示 “存在”，have\has表示 “拥有”、 “所有”，强调所属关系。两者不能同时使用。例如:桌子上有一架模型飞机。 There is a mdel plane n the desk. 我有一架模型飞机。I have a mdel plane.
There is a watch n my desk. 在我书桌上有一块手表。（不一定是我的）I have a watch. 我有一块手表。（这块手表属于我）
【特别提醒】there be结构不可与have/has同时使用，但有时可以互换。树下有一只猫。(×) There has a cat under the tree.(√) There is a cat under the tree.我们学校大约有2 000名学生。There are abut 2, 000 students in ur schl. = Our schl has abut 2, 000 students.
