Unit 3 How do you get to school?
Section A (1a-1c)
一、教材分析
这是本单元的第一课时,主要学习和谈论交通方式,为激发学生对本单元的学习兴趣,以真实的生活情景,结合图片给学生以直观的印象,为学生提供语言材料,为更好的开展各项活动提供足够的语言材料。第一课时的学习以重点词语和句型为主,它将为接下去的课时开展更深入、全面的语言综合运用活动和知识拓展,做好铺垫。也为学生今后生活中用英语进行日常交通活动打下基础。
二、学情分析
初一学生经过小学和一个学期的学习,已经有了一定的英语基础知识和听说能力,知道一些关于交通工具的单词及一些英语表达方法,同时,学生们对英语学习还保持着较浓厚的兴趣,也对各种交通工具有一定的兴趣,中间可通过同学们的分组合作练习提高活跃课堂气氛,让他们在轻松的氛围中通过具体实践的方式来学习新的知识,能提高解决问题的能力以及综合运用语言的能力。
三、教学目标
1. 语言知识目标(Language knowledge):
掌握新单词subway 、train、 bus、 car、bus stop、boat、ship、plane、bike等,并能 熟练掌握对交通工具的提问和回答。
2. 语言技能目标(Language skills):
能询问他人到达某地的交通方式并转述。
3. 情感态度目标(affect):
鼓励学生学会关心别人,并学会团队合作精神。根据实际情况选择最合理,最经济的交通方式,从小养成勤俭节约的好习惯。
4. 学习策略目标
要求学生采用自主学习,合作学习等方式,积极主动的投入到语言的实践中去,用英语去思考问题,在实践中提高语言的综合使用能力,加深对基础知识的掌握和记忆,通过小组猜测、讨论、对话、游戏等多种形式,让学生在活动、游戏、合作与交流中快乐地学习。
四、教学重难点
1. 教学重点:
1) how /how far /how long 引导的特殊疑问句.
2) 乘坐交通工具的表示方法.
2. 教学难点:
—How do you get to school? —I take the …/ride …/ walk…
—How does Mary get to school? —She takes the subway.
五、教学手段和方法
用幻灯片将本课所需要的录音、图片、文字、制成多媒体课件,使抽象的语言变得直观,为学生运用英语进行交际创设情景,实现师生互动,生生互动和人机互动的多向交流。主要采用任务型教学法、情景交际法、交际教学法和游戏活动法。
六、学法指导
1、用生动的课件调动学生进行听、说、读、写、训练。
2、学习积极性的调动。在教学过程中创造一种开放的、和谐的积极互动的语言氛围,把课堂变为有声有色的舞台,让学生在乐中学。
3、学习能力的培养。通过连贯的听、说、读、写,培养学生的交际能力,发挥他们的思维能力。
七、教学过程
Ⅰ. Warming-up and Lead in
学生和老师进行简单的问候,运用英文歌曲导入If you’re happy
Task 1. Greeting
Ss : Good morning , teacher.
T: Good morning , class
T: Look at the picture. What can you see? Do you like your school? I usually get to school by bike, but sometimes on foot . How do you get to school?
Ss 按实际情况作答
S1: I ride my bike.
S2: I go by bus.
S3: ………
T: Very good. You’re clever.
Task 2 Learn an English song.
Sing a song and follow the action.
Ⅱ. Presentation
1. Learn some transportation.Look at the pictures and learn.
bus; subway; train; bike; walk=on foot
- Learn more transportation:car; taxi; plane; boat; ship.
- Play a guessing game.

4. Teacher shows pictures on the big screen .归纳出行方式和常用短语.

(让学生积极主动的思考想象总结,多媒体增加趣味性,加强直观性,效果事半功倍)
5. Show a picture about Part 1, on the screen.
Point at girls or boys in the picture.
Ask students to answer and write in the blanks.

6. Make students finish 1a.
T: Look at the picture on your book. Match the words with the picture.
(学生们完成1a的学习任务,然后校对答案)
Students read the words together.
III. Pratice
- Look at a picture and make a conversation:

Ss: I ride my/ a bike to school.
- Enjoy a song and learn the song:
How do you go th school? 豫剧的唱法来学习本课的单元句型。
- Students make more conversations about the pictures.

- Pairwork. Make conversations with partners. And then come to blackboard to act out their conversations to make a competition.
- Play another guessing game. Listen to some sound and guess.
- Make students finish 1b.listen and write the numbers next to the correct students in the picture.
IV.Production
- Make students finish 1c.Make conversation with your partner.
- Role play the conversations.
- Learn new conversations. 询问第三人称单数的目标句型。
