1c.Listen and complete the food order form.

2a.What do you do or eat on your birthday?
2b.Read the article about food traditions and complete the chart.
2c.Read the article again and answer the questions.
【教学设计说明】This part is aim to make students correct their pronunciation and let the students understand that their present happy life is not easy, hope everyone to study hard.Complete the 2c exercise and test the students' understanding of the passage.
Step 5.Language points
- around the world 相当于all over the world,此处是介词短语作后置定语。world 用作名词,意为“世界”,world像sun( 太阳),moon( 月亮) 一样,为独一无二的事物,其前通常要加定冠词the 或物主代词,the world/ sun/moon。in the world 意为“在世界上”。
- answer在此处作可数名词,意为“答案,回答,答复”,后面常接介词to,to意为“的”,the answer to...表示“……的答案”。
①answer可作及物动词,意为“回答,答复, 应答”,反义词是ask“问”。
eg: The boy can't answer this question.
那个男孩回答不出来这个问题。
②answer还可作不及物动词,意为“回答”。
eg: He answered with a smile.他微笑着回答。
Please answer the telephone.请接电话。
3.辨析the number of与a number of
4.age 用作名词, 意为“ 年龄”, 常用What’s sb.’s age? 询问某人的年龄, 相当于How old is sb.? 短语at the age of 意为 “在……岁时”。常可转换为when 引导的时间状语从句。
5.make a wish 意为“许愿”。
①wish to do sth.希望做某事。
eg: I wish to have a good job. 我希望有一份好工作。
②wish+从句 希望……
eg: I wish I were taller. 我要是个子高一些就好了。
③wish sb./sth. to do sth. 希望某人/某物做某事
eg: He wished his son to be an artist.他希望他的儿子
成为一名艺术家。
I wish her a happy birthday. 我祝她生日快乐。
6.blow out 为“动词+副词”结构的短语,代词作宾语时,必须放blow 和out 中间。
7. If he or she blows out all the candles in one go, the wish will come true.如果他或她一口气吹灭所有的蜡烛,愿望将会实现。
本句为含有if引导的条件状语从句的主从复合句,主句用一般将来时,if引导的条件状语从句用
一般现在时表示将来,即“主将从现”。
8.cut up 意为“切碎”, 是“动词+ 副词”短语, 若代词作其宾语时, 代词应放在动词cut 和副词up 之间。
9.①当别人提出一个好的建议和想法时,我们通常用That's a good idea!或Good idea!来表示愉快地同意。
eg: —Let's go out for a walk.让我们出去散散步吧。
—That's a good idea!好主意!
②I have no idea.意为“我不知道。”相当于I don't know.
eg: Mary has no idea about how to learn Chinese well.
=Mary doesn't know how to learn Chinese well. 玛丽不知该如何学好汉语
