Step 2: Listening 2a&2b&2c
- Listen and write the animals you hear. Draw a line from the animals to the description words and the countries they are from.
- Listen again. Complete the conversation with the words in 2a.
- Check the answers.

Talk about the other two animals in 2a with a partner. Do John and Julie like them? Do you like them?

Role-play the conversation.
First,let students listen to tape to correct their pronunciation.
Do a fast reading game.Choose two students to read the passage simultaneously.The faster one is the winner.Teacher can add points to him or his team.

(1).kind of 有点,稍微
非常口语化的表达方式,意为“有点,稍微”,后接形容词。
kind of=a little=a bit=a little bit,均意为“有点儿”。
(2).be from从……来,来自……
辨析be from与come from
(3).family n.家庭 侧重“家庭”,强调集体
(4).辨析boring与bored
(5).sleep 不及物动词,强调睡眠的持续状态。名词,常用短语:go to sleep“睡觉;入睡”。
辨析sleep与go to bed 两者均有“睡觉”之意。
(6) .day前不加冠词,all day=the whole day
all night=the whole night整夜
all week=the whole week整星期
all year=the whole year整年
