Step 1. Greetings
Step 2. Preparation
- Preview some words:

2.Free talk:
1).Did you have fun during the winter holiday?
2).What did you do during the winter holiday?
3).How did you spend your holiday?
4).Did you visit your friends / play computer games/stay at home?
5)Where did you go ? Did you go to some places of interest
6).Do you want to go abroad? Which country do you want to go?
Step 3. Presentation (Part A)
1.Show a map of the world, teach countries in the world :
The USA, the UK, Japan, Russia, Canada etc.
2.Preview some countries’ names that presented in Part A, Page 7. Show some pictures, Teach the famous interests and some sign buildings of the world.: Mount Fuji, the Eiffel Tower, Red Square, Big Ben, the White House.
Step 4. Practice
①Discussion
1)Suppose you have enough money and time, which country would you like to visit most?
2)Introduce the places of interest and the capital city of this country to your partner.
②Model
T: What’s in the photo?
S: Mount Fuji.
T: Where is it?
S: Japan.
T: What’s the capital of Japan?
S: Tokyo.
2. Work in pairs.
3. Practice the dialogue in Part B, Page 7 in Pairs.
Step 5. Presentation(Comic strip)
1.Ask: Where would you like to live?.
Where do you think Eddie would like to live?
2. Play the tape of Comic strip for the students and answer.
Next to a restaurant.
3. Students read the dialogue aloud after the tape and answer more questions :
Where would Eddie like to live?
Why would Eddie like to live there?
Step 6. Acting
Read the dialogue with your partner, then act it out. (Encourage them)
Step 7. Language points and practice:
