一、教材分析
1.教材分析
本单元围绕“自己”展开话题,通过让人不断地发现自己的特长与特点,从而更加自信。本课分为两部分,第一部分属于求助部分,第二部分属于答疑解惑及精神上支持的部分。
2.学生分析 大部分学生对英语感兴趣,基础不错。一小部分有厌学情绪,没有目标。可以利用这节课调动他们的积极性。
二.教学重点:正确拼读并灵活运用本课单词短语,正确认识自己增强自信。
三.教学难点:更深层次地用英语剖析自己。
四,教学目标
1.知识目标:
掌握并灵活运用单词短语:average, stupid, smart, impssible, weak, mirrr,strng pints, weak pints
2.能力目标: 能用简单的英语分析自己的强项、弱项,增强自信
3.情感目标: 每个人都有强项与弱项,我们要正确地看待它们,用一种积极的心态去面对它们,勇往直前。每一个人都是独一无二的,都有他的闪光点。

四、教学过程
Step = 1 \* ROMAN I Warming up and lead-in
(Play an English sng “be yurself”,shw the wrds and have the students guess the name f the sng)
Have the students read sme ld sayings tgether.
It aims at arusing the students interests.
Step II Pre-reading
Shw them sme pictures abut sme famus stars, and ask them t say smething abut their strng pints and weak pints.
Teach the new wrds in a passage. (Intrduce a by t the students)
It aims at making all the students understand the new wrds easily .
Let the students read and remember the wrds.
Step III While-reading
Skimming
Have the students t predict the main idea f this passage. Finish ExerciseI in Let’s d it. It aims at making the students understand the main idea f the text.
Scanning
Let the students fill in the blanks. It aims at making the students understand the text in details.
Careful reading
Let the students translate the sentences int Chinese.
