    T d this, they will first build artificial intelligence (AI) that will be trained t g thrugh histrical texts, written in seven different languages, fr any descriptins f scents. The AI will als be trained t detect images f bjects in the texts that might be scented. The team will then use this infrmatin t create an nline encyclpedia (百科全书) f smells frm Eurpe’s past.
    The encyclpedia will include the meaning f certain scents and will trace the stries behind scents, places and related practices, accrding t prject leader Angela Lee. “This database will becme a library fr the smell heritage f Eurpe, enabling future generatins t access and learn abut the scented past.” The encyclpedia will als include descriptins f peple fr whm smell was imprtant.
    The researchers will then wrk with chemists and perfume makers t recreate past smells and figure ut hw t display the smells in museums and ther histrical sites.
