Irish tech cmpany SapBx Labs wants that t change. The cmpany has develped speech recgnitin technlgy designed specifically fr children, and it’s already in use acrss a range f applicatins, frm tys t educatin apps.
Children’s vices differ frm that f adults. “Typically, they have a higher pitch (音高), and may use different language r speech patterns, which regular vice technlgy cannt always pick up n.” explains Patricia Scanln, the funder f SapBx. “It’s understandable that an industry that has spent decades wrking n technlgy and nly fcusing n adults runs int a fairly significant prblem when they try t apply it t children.”
Rather than making slight changes t the available vice technlgy already n the market, SapBx builds its vice engine frm scratch-fcusing n children aged 2 t 12. The cmpany says it created a data set t train its AI system, made up f thusands f hurs f children’s speech cllected in real-wrld nisy envirnments-kitchens, classrms and cars-frm kids f all ages, accents and dialects (方言)，frm a ttal f 192 cuntries.

With just ne night f sleep, the Al system was able t crrectly identify Parkinsn’s up t 86 percent f the time. With 12 nights f data, the rate went up t 95 percent.

Researchers annunced they had created a technlgy tl that uses pig sunds t interpret different emtins.
The tl is based n thusands f recrdings cllected frm mre than 400 pigs thrughut their lives. The scientists develped an AI-driven algrithm t identify a series f emtins pigs culd be experiencing. It is expected t lead t further systems farmers can use t imprve the prductivity and well-being f their animals.

Researchers — led by Alphabet’s AI cmpany Deep Mind — said they develped an Al system t help fill in missing wrds in ancient writings. The tl, called Ithaca, is designed t help histrians repair the writings and identify when and where they were written.
The team said that when histrians wrk n their wn, the success rate fr repairing damaged writings is abut 25 percent. But when humans teamed up with Ithaca t assist in their wrk, the success rate jumped t 72 percent.

Irish tech cmpany SapBx Labs wants that t change. The cmpany has develped speech recgnitin technlgy designed specifically fr children, and it’s already in use acrss a range f applicatins, frm tys t educatin apps.
Children’s vices differ frm that f adults. “Typically, they have a higher pitch (音高), and may use different language r speech patterns, which regular vice technlgy cannt always pick up n.” explains Patricia Scanln, the funder f SapBx. “It’s understandable that an industry that has spent decades wrking n technlgy and nly fcusing n adults runs int a fairly significant prblem when they try t apply it t children.”
Rather than making slight changes t the available vice technlgy already n the market, SapBx builds its vice engine frm scratch-fcusing n children aged 2 t 12. The cmpany says it created a data set t train its AI system, made up f thusands f hurs f children’s speech cllected in real-wrld nisy envirnments-kitchens, classrms and cars-frm kids f all ages, accents and dialects (方言)，frm a ttal f 192 cuntries.
