Overuse f land and warming temperatures are putting insect diversity in danger in sme parts f the wrld, scientists reprted Wednesday.
The study, published in the jurnal Nature, cnfirmed fr the first time a clear and alarming link between warming temperatures and large-scale agriculture and shwed that where there are mre farmlands, there is a greater decrease in insects.
“These findings lead t huge cncerns,” said Charltte Outhwaite, the lead authr f the study and researcher at the University Cllege Lndn, adding that lsing insects culd threaten human health and fd supply.
