I. Pre-task preparations

1．播放儿歌：

Everyone is having fun.

We are. They are.

Everyone is skating.

We are. They are.

Everyone is playing catch.

We are. They are.

Everyone is having fun.

2．学生朗读儿歌，根据儿歌的内容，要求学生回答问题。

T: What do they like doing in the park?

S1: They like skating. They like playing baseball.

...

3．让学生带一些儿童节活动的照片，请个别学生上来说一说。

S1: This is a photo of my parents and me. We go to the park on Children's Day.

S2: This is a photo of my brother and me. We go to the cinema on Children's Day.

II. While-task procedures

1．让学生读Look and read的课文，完成反馈练习。

2．让学生观察Look and read的图片，看看不同国家儿童节的日期，可根据学生学力拓展表示日期的短语。然后让学生自主阅读课文，注意日期的表述，回答问题。

3．学生五人一组，分别扮演五个国家的儿童介绍自己国家的儿童节日期。

S3: In Thailand, Children's Day is on the second Saturday of January.

S4: In Japan, there are two Children's Days. The Children's Day for girls is on the third of March. The Children's Day for boys is on the fifth of May.

4．对话操练。要求学生扮演不同国家的儿童，利用编对话的形式来介绍自己国家的儿童节以及儿童节的活动安排。先在小组内合作操练，再以小组为单位进行反馈。

III. Post-task activities

1．听一听，练一练。教师可以给学生提供一段文章，要求学生听两遍，并完成判断正误的练习，再进行反馈。

In the afternoon, he goes to the zoo and sees his favorite animals, monkeys. At 3:00 p.m., he goes to school and has a class party with his classmates and teachers. Harry is very happy.
