Unit 9 He's kind to Children 【第二课时】【教学目标】I. 语言目标:1.词汇:复习巩固单词kind, friendly, smart, active, serious;会听、会说、会读单词或短语:writer, favourite, help, with, want, talk.2.句型:能用“He/ She is...”、“He/ She looks...”简单介绍自己或他人的外貌及其性格特点.II. 应用目标:1.能创设2~3种情境介绍自己或他人的外貌特征及性格及特点.2.能借助插图阅读和理解课文D部分的小短文,完成根据课文判断信息正误的读后活动.【教学重难点】1.重点:能简单介绍自己或他人的外貌和性格特点;能借助插图阅读和理解课文D部分的小短文.2.难点:D部分语篇中出现了气个时间状语从句“When he is working, he looks very serious.”教师要多在情境中给学生一些例句,让学生理解这个语法现象.【教学准备】单词卡片、家庭成员的相片、人物漫画、信息表、教学音频、教学动画等(有条件的学校可利用幻灯片、多媒体课件).【教学过程】I. 热身/复习 (Warm-up/ Revision)1.Free talk.2.Revision.(1)Relay race接力活动:每排学生读一个单词,一排接一排进行单词或短语认读.kind, friendly, smart, active, serious, strict, beautiful, pretty, big, tall, fat, plain, ugly, wise, quiet, calm, sad, funny, naughty, saw pictures, made notes, asked questions, listened to stories, took pictures...(2)反义词游戏教师说出一个形容词,如tall,请学生快速说出它的反义词,看看谁的反应快.(这个游戏也可分组在同学之间进行.)tall —short short—long big—small beautiful—uglygood —bad happy—sad smart—foolish(3)学生从教师手中随意抽取一张形容词卡片,用“He/ She has...”、“He/ She is...”或“He/ She looks...”造句.(4)听课文B部分录音,跟读B部分单词.II. 趣味练习 (Practice)1.教师口头介绍自己家庭某成员的外貌及性格特征(展示人物照片).2.学生拿出照片或肖像漫画,两人一组相互介绍自己家庭某成员的外貌及性格特征.3.抽3~4组学生表演.III. 趣味阅读 (Let's read)第一步听课文,抓主旨.T: Look, this is Lingling's uncle. He is a writer. Please read the text, try to find what Lingling's uncle look like and what he is doing. Try to find the answers in the text and underline it.第二步:读课文,回答问题.Q1: What does Lingling's uncle look like?Q2: What is Lingling's uncle doing?Q3: Does Lingling like her uncle?根据学生的回答,教师出示Lingling's uncle的图片,引导学生复述问题的答案.第三步:学生观看D部分的动画,并跟着动画跟读D部分的课文.第四步:读课文,填信息表.How is Lingling's uncle?When he is working...looks very serious doesn't want to talk to...After work...looks friendly tells... storiesWhen he helps Lingling...is kind to...第五步:读信息表,引导学生复述课文.IV. 拓展活动 (Extension)1.教师口头示范,介绍某人的外貌及性格特征,并填写人物信息表.T: Lingling's uncle is nice. I have no uncles, but I have an aunt. Now, I will talk about my aunt. Take out your pens, and fill in the form.(教师说明学生需要填写哪些信息)Mary is my aunt. She is a doctor. She is beautiful. She looks kind. She likes climbing mountains. We often go to the Yuelu Mountain on Sundays. Do you have any uncles or aunts? Who can talk about your uncle or aunt? (学生填写教师所介绍的人物信息表)S1: I have an uncle. His name is Jack. He is a policeman. He is strong. He looks serious. He likes running. I like him very much.(教师填写学生所介绍的人物信息表)Sample:My auntName: MaryJob: doctorShe is beautiful.She looks kind.She likes climbing mountains.My uncleName: JackJob: policemanHe is strong.He looks serious.He likes running.2.学生两人一组练习,相互介绍某人的外貌及性格特征,并填写人物的信息表.3.选3~4组学生汇报表演.【作业布置】1.根据课文画Lingling's uncle的肖像图,并用3〜4个句子介绍Lingling's uncle的职业、外貌及性格特征.2.口头介绍你的某个家庭成员的外貌及性格特征(下节课抽查).3.预习E部分.
