When a person is born without legs, there are lots of things that are difficult to do. But Sullivan believes she can do anything. She chose to do two things that are difficult even with both legs.
As a teenager, she saw a movie that made a big impression on her. Before it was over. Sullivan had made her mind up to be an actress. She earned a degree (学位) in theater and then moved to Los Angeles, where she has played roles in theater, television and movies.
When Sullivan's friend asked her whether she'd like to try running, she said "yes". She was given a pair of running legs and started running. Sullivan was the first person in the world with two prosthetic legs to take up running as a competitive sport. She made it to the 100-meter finals in the 2012 London Paralympics.

Many of us enjoy watching animals in the wild. They usually make us pleased, cheer us up and, sometimes, even get us scared. But did you know they can teach us? Geese, for example, teach a very good lesson about teamwork.
In fall. Canada geese fly south to get away from Canada's cold winter weather. They lift off in no order. Yet very quickly they form a V shape, with one bird leading the flock (雁群). Scientists have discovered that geese flying in a V-shaped formation can help them to save energy. In this way, they can fly 70 percent farther without rest than birds flying alone.
How does this apply to (适用于) humans?
Work together. Whether it is in our personal lives or our professional ones, we need other people. We are encouraged by their enthusiasm and energy. If we face the difficulties in life alone, the risks are greater.
Be an encouraged. We have found that geese make sound in flight to encourage those up front to keep up the speed. Team members should regularly communicate with each other while working towards a common goal.
Take turns. The goose out in front has the hardest job as it breaks up the air currents. When it gets tired, it moves behind, and another goose moves into the lead. By sharing the role, the flock can travel great distances. Teams can benefit from the same idea. Based on their experience and skills, people can take turns sharing the leadership role.
Set a good example. When geese are on land. if something scares the leader, it might fly off. So does the flock. But if the leader remains calm, the flock will do the same. Geese and people usually imitate their leaders. When leading, we must remember that our actions and emotions are passed on to our followers.
Like geese, when we work together, our burdens are lighter.
57. How do geese encourage each other during the flight?
A. By making sound.
B. By following the leader.
C. By flying in V shape.
D. By taking turns to fly in front.
58. The underlined word "imitate" in the passage means ________.
A. control B. stop C. warn D. follow
59. What can we infer from the passage?
A. Taking turns to be the leader while flying is to search for food.
B. It seems that working together can only be needed on our jobs.
C. By helping and sharing, our problems in life can be less difficult.
D. It is always useless for leaders to set an example to group members.
60. What would be the best title for the passage?
A. Art of Leadership
B. Life of Geese
C. Lessons from Geese
D. Secrets of Flight

Do you often get angry? Anger often makes us uncomfortable. Seeing our child's anger can be especially uncomfortable. In order to relieve (减轻) this feeling, parents often encourage children to "stop crying" or say things like "It's nothing to cry about." It just plants the seeds of unhealthy anger. The "stop crying" parents are just doing what they were taught by their own parents, who were probably taught that by their parents on and on. However, we should learn how to create healthy anger in our kids.
If a child never sees his or her parents express anger, he or she will never express anger, either. But if parents always express their anger loudly, their child may start to think of anger as something that is always frightening. They may be sacred to speak to parents again.
The first thing you can do to create healthy anger in your children is to practice creating healthy anger in yourself. Once you'd better at experiencing anger and expressing it in a healthy way, you'll be able to set a good example for your kids.
Stopping kids from expressing their feelings is wrong. We need to raise them in an environment where it is safe to express feelings. Once you feel more comfortable with your own anger, you can teach your children why anger is a helpful feeling. When your kids express anger, help them examine what it is that has made them angry. Why did it make them angry? How did it do that? Ten, you can teach them that those feelings are never wrong and our expressions of our feelings are within our control.
Anger is natural and normal, and it can be experienced and expressed in a healthy way.
61. Why do parents say "It's nothing to cry about." to their children?
A. To relieve their anger.
B. To encourage them to stop crying.
C. To make them uncomfortable.
D. To plant the seeds of unhealthy anger.
62. What can we learn from the second paragraph?
A. Parents should get angry with their children.
B. Parents have a great effect on their children.
C. Expressing anger loudly is right, not wrong.
D. Children can express anger like their parents.
63. Parents should set a good example for children by ________.
A. raising them in a very safe environment
B. stopping them from expressing their anger
C. letting them know they are right or wrong
D. expressing their own anger in a healthy way
64. What does the underlined word "frightening" in Paragraph 2 mean?
A. Safe. B. Simple. C. Scary. D. Polite.
65. What is the main idea of the passage?
A. Parents should create healthy anger in their kids.
B. Parents should create healthy anger in themselves.
C. Anger often makes us and our children uncomfortable.
D. Children should never express their anger with parents.

Wash your hands. It is the easiest way to prevent you from catching a cold from roommates and friends. You should wash hands before eating. You should use clean running water to wash them. Remember to rub them for at least twenty seconds. You'd better carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer (洗手液).
Drink water. Some young people love to drink coffee. But I advise you to drink water instead of coffee. There are many kinds of drinks. but water is the healthiest. You can carry a water bottle in your backpack and fill it with water regularly.
