    She was as frustrated as she was discuraged. But she didn’t knw f any ther way until her 4th grade teacher, Miss Pllck, tld her abut smething called Learning Ally.
    Learning Ally is a nn-prfit rganizatin that ffers audi versins f bks. A crew f vlunteer readers has recrded 75,000 classic nvels, children’s bks, and schl textbks that help mre than 300,000 students and adults with learning differences r wh are blind. Nw Skye culd listen t the bks with her ears and fllw the wrds with her eyes n the page. Instead f having her mther read her textbks t her, she culd independently d her wrk. “With Learning Ally, I feel cnfident and capable and can easily keep up with my classmates,” Skye explains, “and I want ther kids t feel empwered, just the way I did.”
    S Skye, nw aged 16, created The Pac Prject which was named after her grandfather whse nickname was “Pac”. The Pac Prject is a fundraiser and educatinal initiative fcusing n giving students with dyslexia access t the same Learning Ally technlgy that changed her life.
    Skye has realized that she is ne f the lucky kids wh have been diagnsed. She knws that educating teachers abut dyslexia and giving students with the learning challenge the tls they need is a great first step in meeting dyslexia head n, and helping them be cnfident, capable students.
