Unit7 What’s the matter?

教学内容： 译林小学英语四年级下Unit7 What’s the matter? Cartoon time

教学目标： 

1. 能听懂，会读，会说单词：happy, hungry, ill, thirsty, tired, dear。 

2. 能听懂，会读，会说句子：What’s the matter?、Are you …?、I’m …、Can I have …?、Here you are./Come and have …/I want to …/Good night.。 

3. 能正确地理解并朗读对话内容，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述并表演课文。 

4. 能初步运用所学单词和日常用语关心帮助他人。 

教学重点： 能正确理解并朗读对话内容，并能在教师的引导和帮助下复述课文。 

教学难点： 能初步运用本课所学的词汇和日常用语关心帮助他人。 

教学过程： 

Step1Greetings 

Step2 Free talk 

T: Wow, you sing and dance happily. It’s a song about feelings.   Today, I’m happy to be your friend. What about you?   Hello, what’s your name? How are you today?   Hello, may I know your name? Nice to meet you! I’m a little hot now. And you? 

T: Now I know some of your feelings. What about Tao Tao ? 

Is he fine?  S: No.  

T; I’m sorry. What’s the matter with him? Let’s go on learning Unit5 What’s the matter? 

Step3 Play a game 

T: Now, let’s play a game. Question Dice.   Throw the dice, read the question loudly and ask your friend to answer it. Understand? Who wants to play? (Ask and answer questions about story time

Step 4 Presentation 

1. T: From the story, we know Taotao is thirsty and tired. What other feelings do you know? Tell us with actions. 

2.  T: Wow, you really know a lot about feelings. Let’s catch the words. 重点学习书本中单词happy, sad, hungry, thirsty, ill, happy, sad.同时拓展学习sleepy/scared/worried/angry.    
3. 3.Play a game 

 (1) I say you do.   I do you say. (ill/thirsty/ sad…) 

(2)Guessing game.   You may guess: What’s the matter? / What’s wrong with you?Are you…? You may give me some help.  

Step5 Fun time 

1. Is it funny? Let’s come to fun time. The boy and girl are playing games. But how?    T: First the girl asks: What’s the matter?  Are you...? Yes,.../ No, ... 

2. What about this sentence? This is the Learning tip, Say it in a different way. Can you ? The more the better. 

 3. Do you want to play? First ,let’s play together.(班级示范游戏） 

4. This time ,play in 2 and no Chinese!（两人一组玩游戏） 

Step6 Cartoon time 

1.  We are happy to play the game in class. But look at Bobby, is he happy? What’s the matter with him? Guess! 

2. Watch and answer Who helps him? Read and choose. How do they help Bobby? 

3. Mrs Fox calls Mrs Mouse. Mrs Mouse comes to school with a cake. 

She says: Are you all right, Bobby? How does she feel now? Worried. 

Try to read again with emotion, please.（指导学生体会人物心情，有感情的朗读关键句型。） 

4. Is Bobby happy at last? Yes. Ha! Ha! He’s happy now! 

5. Reading time 

（1）It’s time for reading. Pay attention to Bobby’s different feelings. 

（2）Read after the teacher.  Read together. 

（3You can read the story. Can you sing it now?  Have a try. First, let’s complete the sentences. 

（4） Let’s sing together. 

（5This time, practice in 3, read or sing the story in the way you like. 

6. Acting time. It seems that you are good at singing. What about acting 

the story? Please prepare in3 and show us.

 7. In the story, Mrs Mouse 

loves Bobby. So does Mrs cat. Sam and Bobby are good friends. When 

Bobby is crying, Sam says: Don’t be sad. 

8. These are their stories, What about yours,maybe you are at school, at home or on the bus, please share your stories with us.  Before acting , what sentences can we use? 

9. So many good sentences. Now discuss in 2 or 3, choose 1 scene, make your own dialogue and share with us.  I prepare some interesting things for you. Take a look.  

Step7 Homework 

1. Read Cartoon time three times . 

2. Preview Sound time、Rhyme time、Checkout time and Ticking time after class.
