Step 1 . Lead-in
T: Tday I am very happy, I gt a birthday present last night. I like it very much. Lk ! it’s a wallet . what’s this ? is this a wallet? (write n the blackbard and read several times.) My friend bught it in a gift shp. D yu knw gift? It means present , understand? Lk! There is sme mney in the wallet, right?
I like shpping, with the mney I can buy gifts fr the peple I lve . right? Can yu tell me where I can buy presents? ( Shw the pictures f Part A n page 81 t the students). We can buy different things in different shps, right? D yu knw what shps they are?
2.While learning these names, teacher asks the students t read after him/her.
Have a discussin with the students like this:
T: What’s this shp?
S: It’s a ____ shp.
T: What can we buy here? Wh can we buy a present fr frm the shp?
S: Fr my teacher/
Ask the students t practise like this in pairs.
Let the students finish Part A and read several times.
Step 2 . Presentatin
T: just nw , we talk abut where we can buy presents and what presents we can chse frm the shp fr different peple , YES OR NO? Christmas is cming , right? Daniel wants t buy a present fr Simn. He’s asking Millie fr help.
Listen t the tape and answer the questins belw.
