      有少数几个双音节形容词,既可以加­er和­est,又可以加mre和mst构成比较级和最高级。这些双音节词是:cmmn, handsme, plite, quiet, wicked, pleasant, cruel, stupid, tired和以­w,­er结尾的词。

      抽象名词具体化
      表示具体的一个人或特定的某一件事东西时,可以将抽象名词可作为可数名词,可以与a/an连用,常见的这类词有:

      surprise吃惊-令人惊讶的人或事; beauty美-美丽的人或事;

      具体名词抽象化
      schl, cllege, hspital, curt, prisn, table, church等是可数名词,有具体的意义,当表示与之相关的活动时,表示抽象意义。如:g t schl上学;at table在吃饭;in prisn坐监狱;g t church去做礼拜;
