One day mrning, my wife and I were in bed when a tree crashed int my huse. I was asleep when I heard the crash and felt all the weight f the tree. When I wke up, it was already ver me. I felt pain immediately and it wasn't t lng befre my legs and my arm went numb（麻木的）.
The whle left side f my bdy felt like it was n fire. I was cvered by the debris（残骸） f the tree frm basically head t te, and I culdn't mve a muscle. At first I thught it was a bad dream, then I realized it wasn't, and I just started shuting fr help.
The first set f respnders, as a rescue team, arrived n the scene within 10 minutes after Sherri, my wife, made the phne call arund 6 a.m.
The first respnders were trying t get t knw hw I was lying and where I was facing, but they culd barely hear me, because the nly pening in the wall behind me was nly abut a sftball size hle. I tried my best t get sme fresh air thrugh this small hle. It was prbably 7 a.m. when they fund ut where my head was, and they were able t punch（在……上打孔） thrugh the wall and pass an xygen mask fr me.
Still, my breathing was very labred. During that secnd hur, there were many times when I thught I was ging t die. The breathing itself was s hard, and the pain was s huge that I nearly frgt t breathe.
My wife and kids, wh were safe n the grund, were wrried. But at that time, I didn't knw anything ging n except my pain and breathing. I was able t cmmunicate with smebdy there, but ding s wuld make breathing even mre difficult. When I said it was t hard t hld n and I wanted t give it up, a vice said t me:
