Have yu ever cunted the number f digits (数字) in yur mbile phne number? Yur number has 11 digits. Smetimes yu may find it hard t remember yur number. That’s because China has the lngest mbile phne numbers in the wrld.
The 11 digits are divided int three parts. Each part has a different meaning. The first three digits tell yu the service prvider (运营商) f yur mbile phne. The furth t the seventh digits tell where the number appeared fr the first time. The last fur digits are chsen freely.
The main reasn fr using 11-digits is China’s large ppulatin. We nce used 10 digits. But as ur ppulatin grew, that was nt enugh.
