Perhaps his mst famus building — the Lndn building knwn as the “Gherkin” because f its similarity in shape t the fruit — has views that are slightly less green. But it itself can be seen frm far and wide. Cmpleted in 2004, it has becme ne f Lndn’s mst recgnizable buildings. Althugh sme feel the Gherkin is ut f place, it is in keeping with Fster’s previus creatins: the City Hall beside the Thames in Lndn, his glassy recnstructin f the German Reichstag, and his1980s design fr the HSBC building in Hng Kng.
Despite sme health prblems later in life, Fster cntinues t wrk.“ There is never enugh time t d everything I wuld like,” he said in 2011. Since then, he has designed Apple Park, museums, an airprt, and develped the cncept fr the Lusail Stadium in Qatar. If the nly cnstant is change, Fster has been a frce f it in the wrld f architecture — and he’s nt dne yet.

Deep in the frests f a remte Suth Pacific island, a New Calednian crw (乌鸦) carefully remves a branch, tears ff unwanted leaves and fashins a hk (钩子) frm the wd. Decding animal vcalizatins culd aid cnservatin and welfare effrts. It culd als have a surprising impact n us. The pwer f AI t reshape ur understanding f animals will have a similar effect. These tls are ging t change the way that we see urselves in relatin t everything.
