Many f us suffer frm a wish t be special. We usually assume that a special persn is a better persn and a special life is a better life. Hwever, my experience has helped me t understand the high cst I have paid t be special: the extra time spent trying t impress thers, the meals I was t tired t ck but I still cked, the newspaper clumn that I just culdn’t stp wrking with...
I’ve been thinking abut the cst a lt since becming a mther. I knw it is very natural t want ur children t feel special, perhaps mre special than thers, s they can develp self-cnfidence. But I dn’t think real self-cnfidence cmes frm being raised abve thers. It shuld cme frm being themselves and feeling lved fr that in an rdinary way. It is nt believing that they are the best and trying t be that. It is understanding that they have value fr being them. It is very easy t give ur children the impressin that t be special, they need t try t be smebdy else.
Perhaps the mst valuable gift we can give them is the permissin t be rdinary. Trying t be special r t live a special life can in reality take them further and further away frm better nes. It can als lead them t lse sight f the precius mments f the life they are actually living.
Since I have becme aware f this, I start t enjy cking simpler meals. I als feel much mre freedm when writing this clumn. I feel less f a need t perfrm than I used t. And when I d feel that need, I can recgnize it and respnd differently (smetimes).
At first, it might be a little bit bring t be rdinary. Nw, I’ve becme much mre aware f the beauty f rdinary mments that I am frtunate enugh t experience every day: the naughty smiles frm my daughter; the funny sunds my cat makes in the middle f the night...
24.What des the underlined wrd “that” in paragraph 2 refer t?
      A.Cst. B.Self-cnfidence.

      C.D what she is expected t d.
D.Turn her attentin t her family.

      A.It is unnatural.B.It is bring.
      C.It is stressful.D.It is enjyable.
27.Which f the fllwing can be the best title fr the text?

D.Hw Can Parents Help Kids Enjy the Real Life?
      C
A team f researchers frm the Hefei Institutes f Physical Science f the Chinese Academy f Sciences has develped an innvative green pesticide frmulatin (农药配方) that prmises t strengthen cntrl f harmful insects while priritizing safety fr bth crps and the envirnment. “This new pesticide represents a mre envirnmentally friendly alternative t traditinal pesticides,” said Prf. Wu Zhengyan, wh led the research team. The findings f this study were published in ACS Nan.
Traditinal pesticides ften face several challenges, including uneven applicatin n plant leaves, tendency t being washed away by rain, and rapid decmpsitin (分解) under sunlight. Additinally, remaining chemicals frm these frmulatins can pse envirnmental risks. Therefre, in this study, the team engineered a new pesticide frmulatin t enhance adhesin t leaves, resist sunlight decmpsitin, and prvide a gradual release f the active ingredient fr sustained effectiveness.
The success f this new frmulatin lies in its unique structure. The carbn dts cmbined with calcium carbnate (CaCO3) increase the pesticide’s capacity t hld mre abamectin (阿维菌素) — apprximately 1.7 t 2.1 times mre than cnventinal frmulatins. This allws fr greater effectiveness while using less active ingredient. When the pesticide cntacts the weakly acidic envirnment n plant leaves, the calcium carbnate breaks dwn, facilitating a quicker release f the pesticide and enabling easier tracking thrugh the lights released by the carbn dts. This “cntrlled release” mechanism ensures that the pesticide remains active, even in challenging cnditins such as UV light r rain.
In tests cnducted n the diamndback mth (小菜蛾), a cmmn agricultural threat, the new frmulatin demnstrated excellent pest cntrl bth indrs and utdrs. Imprtantly, it als minimizes envirnmental impact. Cmpared t traditinal pesticides, this new frmulatin shwed reduced pisnusness t nn-target animals.
Furthermre, nce the pesticide has released its active ingredient, the remaining materials decmpse int harmless substances like calcium ins (Ca2+), carbn dixide (CO2), and carbn dts, significantly lwering the risk f pllutin.
28.Hw is the benefit f the new pesticide stressed in Paragraph 1?
      A.By ffering statistics.B.By giving examples.
      C.By defining a cncept.D.By quting an expert.
29.What des the underlined wrd “adhesin” mean in Paragraph 2?
      A.Sensitivity. B.Respnse. C.Reference. D.Stickiness.
30.What makes the new pesticide different frm traditinal ne?
A.Its distinctive structure.B.Its lwer prductin cst.
C.Its unique tracking methd.D.Its faster decmpsitin rate.
31.Why is the new pesticide envirnmentally friendly?
      A.It restres the eclgical balance.
B.Its by-prducts are clean and safe.
      C.It avids harming unrelated species.
      D.Its remaining materials are reusable.

,空后“S pick activities that make yu feel truly gd, like talking abut hbbies r helping friends nline — n need t care abut likes!(因此,选择那些能让你真正感到愉悦的活动吧,比如谈论兴趣爱好,或是在网上帮助朋友——无需在意点赞数量!)”

39.结合下文“Then yu’ll enjy bth: staying cnnected and feeling peaceful.(然后你会享受两者:保持联系和感到平静。)” C选项“Just fix yur attentin n the little jys nline.(只需将注意力聚焦于网络世界中的小确幸。)”
和空前“Every little win nline — sharing a useful tip, getting a sweet reply — deserves cheers. If yu nly wait fr lts f fllwers, yu’ll miss daily fun.(网络上的每一个小成就——分享一条实用建议、收到一条暖心回复——都值得欢呼。如果你只盯着粉丝数量的增长,就会错过日常的乐趣。)”主张庆祝线上小成就(如分享有用技巧、收到暖心回复),而非仅关注粉丝数量。D选项“Minr accmplishment in the digital wrld lift yur md.(数字世界里的微小成就,也能让你心情愉悦。)”
