In 1945, scientist Maisie Carr std a fence arund 5 hectares f peatland n Victria’s Bgng High Plains.

After examining archaelgical (考古学) remains (遗骸) f hrses, researchers suggest Indigenus peples (土著居民) had spread the animals thrugh the American West by the first half f the 1600s — befre they met Eurpeans.
The findings agree with ral (口述的) histries frm Indigenus grups, which tell f interactins (相互作用) with hrses befre settlers arrived in their hmelands. Meanwhile, written Eurpean texts frm the 1700s and 1800s stated that hrses nly spread thrugh the area after 1680.
