After a busy mrning at wrk, lunchtime gives me a chance t d many things 31 One cultural difference I've nticed between Britain and China is what we d during lunchtime.
Here in China, wrkers have lnger lunch breaks(休息), which gives them enugh time t take a shrt nap(午睡). 32 I ften see ffice wrkers rest their heads n their desks. The rm turns int a quiet "bedrm". Once, I even saw wrkers in a restaurant taking shrt naps as well. 33 After lunch, they will g back t their drmitries(宿舍)r classrms t take a nap. Chinese peple believe a shrt nap at nn can help them feel mre energetic in the afternn
34 British students usually have a ne-hur lunch break. Instead f napping, they fill that time by playing sprts r talking with friends.
Mst wrkers in Britain dn't get the chance t nap. They generally have shrt lunch breaks—between 30 minutes t an hur. 35 Because f the shrtness f their lunch breaks, it is cmmn fr peple t wrk thrugh lunch r just finish their lunch at their desk.
