A new revisin f the bk Mawangdui Bamb Slips and Silk Bks was published (出版) this year t celebrate this big event. Mawangdui Han site, recgnized as ne f the greatest findings f the 20th century, has prduced a number f cultural relics and a“library” f Han Dynasty texts preserved n silk.
The first discvery f the tmbs tk place between 1972 and 1974, resulting in the discvery f 26,937 cultural relics. These include the remains f Lady Xin Zhui, and bamb and silk bks. The silk bks, which have 1,430 items (物品) in all, include ver 130,000 characters and cver mre than 50 classics n different tpics such as plitics, medicine, literature, etc., including “I Ching” and “Ta Te Ching.”
Mawangdui Bamb Slips and Silk Bks was first published in June 2014 by the Hunan Museum and Fudan University. The newly-revised bk, which came ut after fur years f revisin, ffers a great all-rund and really gd explanatin f the texts in the silk bks.
The repair and research prcess has been challenging because f the weak nature f the silk pieces, which had t be carefully divided and explained. The silk bks prvide valuable insights (了解) int the thughts and knwledge f the Han Dynasty, with sme classics being new t mdern research.
The revised bk includes ver 1,000 revisins and new cntents, the rewriting f several classics, and descriptin f newly uncvered silk pieces. This versin has made changes t mre than 60 silk items frm the ld ne and added abut 230 new silk items. The clrs have been imprved t make the texts and designs shw up better.
