      Deep in the Mexican frest at the Yucatán Peninsula, archaelgists have made an exciting discvery — a hidden histrical treasure. In the ancient Maya city f Cbá, a huge stne slab (石碑) was fund.
      The stne slab was discvered at the bttm f a pl in the past. It is really large, with an area f 11 square meters (118 square feet). What makes this slab different frm thers f its kind is the writing n it. There are 123 glyphs (象形文字) made int its surface. They are made in the shape f “L” t fit the shape f the stne.

      The city f Cbá, which is nw in the state f Quintana R, was nce successful but is nw in ruins. The Maya had started building it as early as 50 BC and peple lived there cntinuusly.
