    As sn as the man finished talking, Yu Gng said that his family culd cntinue t mve the muntains after he died.

    Step 1 warming up
    1. Shw sme pictures f the Chinese stry.
    2. 1a. Students enjy the pictures and say the names f the fur pictures in 1a.
    Step 2 Presentatin & talk
    1. Shw n the screen sme pictures abut Yu Gng and play the sng “愚公移山”.
    Students talk smething abut Yu Gng and then enjy the sng.
    Eg. Yu Gng was brn in the Western Zhu Dynasty.
    2. The reasn why Yu Gng wanted t mve the muntains was that there were tw big muntains near his huse and they were s big and high that it tk a lng time t walk t the ther side.
    Step 3 Listening (1b)
    1. Get the students t listen and check the facts they hear.
    2. Listen again and check the answer.
    Step 4 Discussin (1c)
    Discuss the questins in pairs first, then ask sme pairs t make dialgues by asking and answering.

    1. (2a) Listen t the stry abut Yu Gng, and number the pictures 1-4 in rder t tell the stry.
    2. (2b) Listen again and circle the wrds yu hear.
    3. Check the answers.
