On Antni’s first day f wrk, his bicycle is stlen, and he and his yung sn Brun set ut t get it back, a quest f desperatin and need that at first strengthens the father-sn bnd, befre nearly tearing it apart. What is even mre impressive is that the directr used n studi sets — all f the settings are real-life lcatins in Rme.
The Night f the Shting Stars
The mvie, set in Tuscany, fllws a grup f citizens wh leave their village just befre their huses are set t be blwn up by the Nazis. The stry is tld thrugh the eyes f six - year-ld Cecilia, wh sees the event as a great adventure. The mvie is a mixture f cmedy, fantasy and srrwful drama.

As a yung persn, I never thught f myself as a sprts enthusiast because I was quite clumsy. But there was ne thing I enjyed: running. It felt like I was saring (翱翔) thrugh the air. Sadly, this changed when I hurt my knee tw years ag. I had t stay in bed fr tw weeks and even walking a shrt way was hard fr me. I was s upset that I cried as I mved t the car fr several days.
When therapy (治疗,疗法) wasn’t wrking well fr me, I signed up fr a ht yga class fr girls, Bikram Yga t be exact. Starting a yga practice was truly a blessing because it helped me gain strength in my knees but, mst imprtantly yga helped me attain a mre peaceful state f mind, bdy and spirit.
Since each class was heated t 105°F, every time I stepped ft in the yga studi, I’d feel a surge (涌起) f negative thughts cme upn me like a big cean wave. Sme f these thughts were, in the beginning f my practice, s strng that I walked ut f the class several times. Hwever, as the mnths passed by, I nticed that when I didn’t get swayed away (动摇) by my negative thughts, I culd stay in the ht rm fr lnger.
After 3-4 mnths f practising ht yga, my arms and legs were beginning t get definitin. I als wke up with s much mre energy than I had befre starting my yga practice and I gradually started shedding the punds (减轻体重) frm my bdy. Yga literally made me feel as if I’d taken a sht f energy drink and just gave me that burst that helped my knees heal and made my verall health better.
As I saw sme f my classmates d pses that lked appealing t me, I started t think maybe I culd d them t. Therefre, yga helped shw me that I have n real limitatins physically unless I set thse limitatins myself thrugh eating junk and thinking in negative limiting terms.
Als, practising yga in frnt f a mirrr helped me cnnect with myself and practising with a grup f peple really helped me t feel a greater sense f cnnectin with humanity whereas befre I didn’t. Overall, this yga practice has helped me t see I’m part f a bigger picture in life!

I have t say smething after reading The Anxius Generatin. It is ging t sell well, because Jnathan Haidt is telling a scary stry abut children's develpment many parents are led t believe. Hwever, the bk's repeated suggestin that digital technlgies are rewiring ur children's brains and causing the epidemic (流行病) f mental illness is unsupprted by science. Wrse, the rude prpsal that scial media is t blame might distract (分心) us frm effectively respnding t the real causes f the current mental-health crisis in yung peple.
Researchers have searched fr the effects suggested by Haidt. Our effrts have prduced a mix f n, small and mixed assciatins. Mst data are crrelative. When assciatins ver time are fund, they suggest nt that scial-media use predicts r causes depressin, but that yung peple wh already have mental-health prblems use such platfrms mre ften r in different ways frm their healthy peers.
We are nt alne here. Several analyses and systematic reviews cnclude the same message. An analysis dne in 72 cuntries shws n cnsistent r measurable assciatins between well-being and scial media glbally. Mrever, findings frm a lng-term study shw n evidence f intense changes assciated with digital-technlgy use.
As a psychlgist studying children's and adlescents' mental health, I appreciate parents' frustratin(沮丧) and desire fr simple answers. As a parent f adlescents, I wuld als like t identify a simple surce fr the pain this generatin is reprting. There are, hwever, n simple answers. The beginning and develpment f mental disrders are driven by a cmplex set f genetic and envirnmental factrs.
Mre yung peple are talking penly abut their mental-health struggles than ever befre. But insufficient services are available t address their needs. In the United States, there is, n average, ne schl psychlgist fr every 1, 119students. We have a generatin in crisis and in desperate need f the best f what science and evidence-based slutins can ffer. Unfrtunately, ur time is being spent telling stries that are unsupprted by research and that d little t supprt yung peple wh need, and deserve, mre.

    C.T recmmend a newly-published bk.
    D.T give vice t children's mental issues.
A recent survey in the US fund that Gen Z;ers and Millennials visit libraries mre ften than their parents r grandparents. The yung lve libraries because they are secure, cmfrtable, free and—as my 11;year;ld wuld say—"aesthetic". This means they lk gd in the backgrund f an Instagram pst r TikTk vide. It's als a great place t meet peple. If yu're bth yung and in a library, chances are yu have similar interests.
And then, t, there are the bks. Gen Z;ers are turning ut t be big readers, especially f paper bks. Even thugh, r perhaps because, they have in their pckets the mst limitlessly distracting devices ever invented, many are deliberately(故意地) chsing t pick up a piece f 15th;century technlgy instead. They like the fact that bks are cmplete in themselves and require fcused attentin.
There is, smetimes, a sense f nstalgic(怀旧的) csplay in the way yung peple read. In New Yrk, fr example, the latest TikTk;fuelled craze(狂热) is reading with strangers in bars. Yu have t buy a ticket in advance, and then yu all gather and sit in silence fr 30 minutes, reading whatever bk yu've brught alng. It is like an expensive versin f ging t the library, except that afterwards yu all have a drink and talk abut bks.
T me, reading is a private pleasure, while screens—TV r cinema—are scial. I did nce, in a grup f ambitius parenting, intrduce a "family reading hur", during which my husband and children were pressed t jin me at the fireside fr sme silent reading. It culd nt have felt mre perfrmative if we had dressed up in tp hats and ld;fashined clthes.
But still, I'd like t praise these yung readers—fr knwing what is gd fr them, fr seeking ut human cnnectin, fr finding the beauty and pleasure in ld institutins, and fr bringing new life t the library.

When I was in middle schl, my family mved t Seattle, where my parents started their new business — a small grcery stre dwnstairs my huse. As a girl f shy and reserved nature, I had t take a fresh start t fit int the sphisticated city life.
