This is accrding t the research by BBC Wrldwide’s research team and Dacher Keltner, an expert in the science f emtin (情绪) at the University f Califrnia, Berkeley, US. As the researchers fund ut, watching nature prgrams like Planet Earth has direct and uplifting (令人开心的) benefits n the emtin and health f their viewers.
During the research, named “The Real Happiness Prject’’, Keltner and his wrkmates studied 7,500 participants (参与者) frm the US, UK, Singapre, India, Suth Africa and Australia. The participants were asked t fill in surveys abut their emtins befre watching clips (片段) f Planet Earth, dramas and news stries. Their reactins were then recrded with facial mapping technlgy and psychmetric (心理测量的) tests.
Results shwed that wmen are mre likely t experience dramatic (急剧的) emtinal changes than men when they watch nature dcumentaries. Peple aged between 16 and 24 shwed the mst decrease (减少) in feelings f nervusness and tiredness.
