With cncerns abut e-waste grwing, sme cmpanies are nw turning t chemistry t develp slutins t recycle items like ld cell phnes, extracting value at the same time. One such example is the wrk being carried ut by Mint Innvatin, a clean tech firm based in Auckland, New Zealand. “We’ve develped a bilgical prcess fr recvering valuable metals frm electrnic waste,” said Ollie Crush, the cmpany’s chief scientific fficer.
Crush explained that Mint Innvatin’s system included grinding(磨碎)waste up int a pwder. “The reasn why we must d this is that we need t make sure that we’re expsing all the metal cntained within t a chemical filtering(过滤)prcess,” he added.
When it cmes t recvering a valuable material like gld, the technique used by Mint Innvatin has a number f steps.
