    What des it mean t be green? Green is mre than just a clr. It als means taking special steps t prtect the envirnment. Buying a green prduct is a small step everyne can take. Deciding whether a prduct is green, hwever, isn't always easy. We need t cnsider the whle life cycle f the prduct even after it's f n use. Here is what we may keep in mind.
    The materials f a prduct are usually ur first fcus (关注). What is it made f? Are there any harmful chemicals in it? Green prducts are made f mre natural materials which are free frm harmful chemicals, s they can be gd fr ur physical health.

    Handwriting is gradually becming a dying art. Mst cllege students type nearly everything. Elementary and high schls acrss the cuntry nw view typing curses as the main chice. But what are we lsing as handwriting lses its significance(重要性)in sciety? It's brain pwer, accrding t sme studies.
    Researchers frm Princetn University and the University f Califrnia cnducted a series f studies t prve the differences between students wh wrte ut their ntes and thse wh typed ntes. Participants(参与者)tk ntes n a lecture using ne f the tw methds and were tested n the material 30 minutes after the lecture and again a week later. The results f the research appeared in Psychlgical Science. The authrs f the study nted that, while past studies n this tpic tended t fcus n the distractins(干扰)that resulted frm using a cmputer, in this study, participants were using the laptps nly t take ntes. And handwriting still emerged as(成为)the champin.
    That's nt t say that typing desn't have its benefits. ClearvueHealth recently tk a deep dive int the findings f a study t assess prs and cns(评估利弊)f writing and typing. The typists culd cpy dwn significantly mre wrds than the writers. But while mre f the lecture's cntent was retained in the cmputer when typing. The tests that the participants tk prved this. On the test 30 minutes after the lecture, typists and writers did mre r less equally well n questins abut the basic facts f the lecture, but typists faltered(结巴)when it came t mre cnceptual questins. Students wh take handwritten ntes need t quickly prcess the lessn and rewrite it in a way they can understand, giving them an advantage in remembering new cncepts(概念)in the lng term.
    As fr the later quiz, well, the results were similar. Students with handwritten ntes were able t remember and still understand the cncepts f the lecture after a week had passed. These participants were als mre pen t understanding new ideas. Clearly, writing by hand can make yu smarter.
    Cmputers aren't ging away anytime sn, but that desn't mean paper ntebks need t becme bslete. If yur gal is t be able t set dwn facts, the efficiency f typing might best benefit yu. But when it cmes t truly dissecting(剖析)infrmatin, truly learning frm it in the sense f making cnnectins between analyzing the material, and retaining it in the lng run, writing by hand is a better chice.
