Each cckrach has a very small packet that has in it a micrprcessr(微处理器）.Then researchers can send signals frm the remte cntrl t the packet. The signals cntrl the mvements f the cckraches.
Why des anyne want t cntrl a cckrach? “Insects can d many things that peple can’t,” says Isa Shimyama, head f rbt research at Tky University. In a few years, he says, these rbt insects will carry very small cameras. They will be able t mve thrugh earthquake rubble(瓦砾）t lk fr peple r mve under drs t find infrmatin abut smene.
This may seem strange, but the Japanese gvernment thinks the research is very imprtant. The gvernment is giving the scientists $ 5 millin fr this research.
