Jiang Mengnan, a deaf girl, caught lots of people’s eye. On March 3rd, 2022, she became one of the ten “Touching China” figures(人物) of 2021.

Jiang was born in Chenzhou, Hunan in 1992. Because of ototoxic drugs(耳毒性药物), she became completely deaf when she was six months old. Then her parents decided to teach her lip-reading(唇读).
