    1.0 Teaching analysis教情分析

    6) No, this is her sister, Julie.

    7) She’s at the library.

    8) Is the man swimming in a river? No, he isn’t. He’s swimming in a pool.

    1.1.1.3 Grammar Focus

    1) Is she shopping? Yes, she is.(shop, 动词,意为购物,买东西。短语go shopping=do some shopping 意为去购物。也可做名词,意为商店,店铺,相当于store, 相关短语为in/at a shop,意为在商店里)

    2) Is he doing his homework? No, he isn’t.( do one’s homework意为做某人的家庭作业one’s跟随句子主语而变化使用形容词性物主代词或名词所有格。)

    3) Is the man swimming in a river? No, he isn’t. He’s swimming in a pool. (swim in a river意为在河里游泳in a pool意为在游泳池里,在池子里,但在游泳池里,更多使用in a swimming pool)

    4) Is she shopping? Yes, she is.

    Is he doing his homework? No, he isn’t.

    Is the man swimming in a river? No, he isn’t. He’s swimming in a pool.

    (现在进行时的一般疑问句及其肯定和否定回答:be动词根据主语而变化为am, is, are,动词-ing形式不做变化,但要注意以重读闭音节结尾的动词要双写最后一个字母再加ing, shop-shopping, swim-swimming, sit-sitting, begin-beginning, stop-stopping, run- running, get-getting, put-putting。一般疑问句的回答用be动词和主语的人称代词主格来完成。)

    1.1.2 Ability goals 能力目标 

    1.1.2.1培养学生通过谈论活动发生的地点巩固现在进行时态及一般现在时的一般疑问句及其回答。

    1.1.2.2 培养学生能基本听懂和掌握本课重点词汇及目标语言,学会在听力中抓关键词,初步了解听前预测的技巧,并在听力中有目的地获取有效信息。

    1.1.2.3通过观察动词的-ing形式,教会学生总结规则,熟练使用这些构词规则,尤其是以重读闭音节结尾的动词的-ing形式变化。

    1.1.3 Emotional goals 情感目标

    1.1.3.1引导学生通过本课时学习,能使用目标语言用现在进行时的一般疑问句及回答来表达事实,描述人们所处状态。

    1.1.3.2 引导和帮助学生善于观察周围事物,发现生活中的美,从而热爱生活。

    1.2 Important and difficult teaching points教学重难点

    1.2.1 学习并记忆更多描述日常活动的动词短语及表示地点的短语。

    1.2.2 熟练运用现在进行时的一般疑问句及回答来描述正在发生的动作。

    1.0  Student analysis学情分析

    2.1 Fundamental State基本情况

    通过前面两个课时的学习,对本单元的话题(Talk about what people are doing)已经有所感知,并基本掌握了现在进行时的肯定句,否定句,特殊疑问句和一般疑问句的句型结构,但练习力度不够,以重读闭音节结尾动词的-ing形式并未出现。本课时内容一方面对已学动词短语和句型结构的滚动复习,难度较低;另一方面也进行以重读闭音节结尾动词的-ing形式的学习,为学生积累了更多的语言表达的词汇和短语,通过语言练习提高语言交际能力和生活交往能力,同时发现生活的美。

    2.2 Knowledge Reserve知识储备

    经过前两课时围绕单元话题talk about what people are doing的学习,大部分学生已经基本学会了如何运用现在进行时的肯定句,否定句,特殊疑问句和一般疑问句的句型结构谈论日常活动和人们所处的状态,再通过本课时词汇、短语及句型的滚动复现,对学生来说降低了学习难度,更有利于学生大胆开口,积极参与。教师通过设计有趣的课堂任务引导学生进行自主学习和语言实践,增强学生英语表达的信心和兴趣,培养学生良好的英语学习习惯。

    2.3 Class data本班实际

    通过Section A的学习,因为本班学生属于中等层次的水平,学生都有很大的提升空间,乐于通过学习与交流,找到适合自己的学习方法。尤其是本课时内容简单,话题轻松,学生在有一定知识储备的基础之上更乐于对该话题进行讨论,教师应该抓住契机,引导学生养成积极的学习态度。

    5.1.1 Show pictures of some daily activities. Review the verb phrases and the places of doing these activities.

    1). watch TV at home

    2). read a newspaper at home

    3). talk on the phone in the bedroom

    4). have lessons in the classroom

    5). read books in the library

    6). make soup in the kitchen

    7). exercise in the playground

    8) drink tea in the tea house

    5.1.2 Ask Ss to revise the sentence structures of the Present Continuous Tense by using these pictures.

    Take Picture 1 as an example: T: ---What are they doing?

                            Ss: ---They are watching TV.

                            T:---Are they watching TV at school?

                            Ss:---No, they are watching TV at home/ in the living room.

    5.2 New points input新知输入(贴标签)

    5.2.1 

    5.2.1.1 Show pictures of some daily activities. Help Ss study the new phrases and words.

    1). swim in a pool/ a swimming pool

    2). shop in the supermarket

    3). swim in a river

    4). a man

    5.2.1.2 Free talk: Try to describe the pictures on PPT.

    1. Who is in the picture?

    2. What is he/she doing?

    3. Where is he/she?

    5.2.1.3 Observe and think about

    Observe the following verbs followed by –ing participle.

     watch-watching   clean-cleaning  read-reading  talk-talking  listen-listening  do-doing  wash-washing  play-playing  eat-eating   

    use-using  make-making  exercise-exercising  take-taking

     swim-swimming  shop-shopping  sit-sitting  run-running  begin-beginning  put-putting  get-getting

    Think about why these words change like this.

    1) 一般在动词末尾-ing

    2) 以不发音字母e结尾的动词,去掉e-ing

    3)以重读闭音节结尾的动词要双写最后一个字母-ing

    5.2.2 Work on 1a

    5.2.2.1 Look at the pictures and complete the chart.

    Ask Ss to look at the pictures and ask:  What are they doing?

    5.2.2.2 Guide the Ss to make sentences with the places and activities.

    5.3 Listening practice 听力训练

    5.3.1Pre-listening. 听前指导

    Work on 1b

    Look at the pictures in la, ask and answer questions.

    ---Is the man swimming in a river?

    ---No, he isn’t. He’s swimming in a pool.

    5.3.2 While-listening. 听中任务

    1c and 1d

    1) Look at the chart in 1c, guess what we will hear: the persons, the places and the activities

    2) Listen and complete the chart in 1c.

    3) Listen again and check the answers.

      What is Alice doing? Where is she doing this?

      What is Mike doing? Where is he doing this?

    What is Lisa doing? Where is she doing this?

    Ask 3 students to answer these questions.

    5.3. 3 Post-listening. 听后任务

    1) Follow the tape and imitate the dialogues.

      Ask students to practice the dialogues.

    2) Pair work: work on 1e. Use the information in the chart to make a conversation.

     e.g. ---Is Alice playing basketball?

     ---No, she isn’t. She is shopping.

     ---Where is she shopping?

     ---She is shopping in the supermarket.

    3) Make a report.

     Ask Ss to make a report according to the chart. Try to introduce the three persons together with their activities and the places they do these activities.

    5.4  Oral output口语输出

    5.4.1 Get Ss to work in pairs, use the pictures and information on PPT and make conversations.

    e.g. ---Is he/she v.-ing?

     ---No, she isn’t. She is

     ---Where is she?

     ---She is

    5.4.2 Get several pairs to come to the front and role play the conversation without looking at their books.

    5.5 Sentence interpretation 难句理解

    5.5.1He’s still at school.他还在学校。

    (still, 副词,意为仍旧,仍然,一般放在be 动词之后,实意动词之前,助动词和实意动词之间。用来加强语气。)

    5.5.2 Is she shopping? Yes, she is.

      Is he doing his homework? No, he isn’t.

    Is the man swimming in a river? No, he isn’t. He’s swimming in a pool.

    (现在进行时的一般疑问句及其肯定和否定回答:be动词根据主语而变化为am, is, are,动词ing形式不做变化,但要注意以重读闭音节结尾的动词要双写最后一个字母再加ing, shop-shopping, swim-swimming, sit-sitting, begin-beginning。一般疑问句的回答用be动词和主语的人称代词主格来完成。)

    5.6 Sentence applying 好句运用

    Guide Ss to know the meanings of the following sentences and make similar new sentences of their own.

    And get some Ss to share their original sentences.

    5.6.1 Is she shopping?

    Guide Ss to work in groups and make a summary about:

    Q1: Can you tell the rules to make sentences about the Present Continuous Tense?

    Q2: What problems do you still have?

    Q3: How will you work out(解决)the problems?

    Get the Group leader (GL) to share their summary.

    Put some key points on the Bd to form a clear mind map if possible.

    6.0 Homework -课后作业

    1. Write down two conversations like 1e.

    2. Read the dialogues in 1c after the tape and recite it.
