1.询问物品的主人:

-They are my father’s. 这是我父亲的(手套)。
-Whose dress is this, Helen? 海伦,这是谁的长裙?
-It’s my cousin’s. 这是我表妹的(长裙)。
-Whose sweater is this? 这是谁的毛衣?
2.询问发生了什么,谈论健康状况:
-What's the matter?怎么了?
-My hand hurts. 我的手疼。
1. Whose开头的特殊疑问句:
Whose开头的特殊疑问句可以用来询问物品的归属。
Whose + 可数名词单数 + is it/this/that?
Whose + 可数名词复数+ are they/these/those?
2.名词所有格:
1) ’s格: 如果名词代表的事物是有生命的,那么它的所有格形式就是在这个名词后加’s。
名词’s所有格构成形式:
①一般单数名词,词尾加’s。
Mike’s bike 麦克的自行车
the girl’s mother 这个女孩的母亲
②词尾不是s的复数名词,词尾加’s。
the women’s children女人的孩子们
the people’s rights 人民的权利
③词尾是s的复数的名词,词尾加“ ’ ”
the birds’ nest 小鸟的巢
the students’ teacher 学生们的老师
④在表示店铺、教堂等或者某人的家时,所有格’s后面可省略它所修饰的名词。

the house agent’s 房产经纪公司
the Bill’s 比尔家
⑤两个人分别拥有某物时,要在每个人的名字后面加’s,两个人共拥有某物时,旨在最后一个人的名字后面加’s。
Lily’s and Lucy’s dress 莉莉的裙子和露西的裙子
Lily and Lucy’s bedroom 莉莉和露西的卧室(表示两人居住在同一间卧室)
2) 如果名词代表的事物事没有生命的,常用of组成的短语来表示它的所有格。
The second class of Tuesday is English. 周二第二节课是英语。
The name of the movie is Avengers. 电影的名字是《复仇者联盟》。
