Dear Chris,
This weekend, our school will organize a park clean-up activity for teachers and students of senior grade three.
When we arrive at the park outside the city, we will be divided into three groups. Group one will pick up rubbish on the ground. Group Two will put up a “No littering” sign at the entrance to stop people littering. Group Three will be responsible for carrying rubbish.

After Katy had gone, my mother asked me why I had pushed my friend. I repeated Katy’s remark. Just then, I didn’t know if I was angry at Katy because her comment was so obviously meant to insult me, or if I was sad that what she said was true. My mother just stared at the doll in her hands. That night, Katy and her mother appeared at our door. Katy’s mother apologized for the incident and offered to buy me a new doll. My mother just said no. She did not say “thank you.”
After they had gone, my mother gave me the doll back. She had glued the head back together. She looked at me a long time and then said, “Your doll is better now.” She explained that the original glue wasn’t very good. So she had fixed it, making its head stronger, less fragile. Now it wouldn’t fall apart when it dropped. “Do you understand?” she asked. I did. I held the bride doll in my arms, realizing that the special type of “glue” my mother showed was in me, as well. I didn’t ever need to be afraid. She taught me that even though I was a child, I had the right to be respected.
