And he’ll tell you so, too, face to face at the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida. Here, the Spanish surrealist is alive and well, ready to talk to you in person about his art.Well, sort of. This Dali is brought to life through the magic of artificial intelligence. It’s a newly opened exhibition called “Dali lives”, and it is more than 2,000 Dali works in about 20,000 square feet of exhibit space. Three video boards showing a life-size Dali, standing 5’8’’tall, form the exhibit — one at the museum gate, one on the third floor by the main exhibits (including Dali’s paintings and photographs, two technologically treated paintings allowing visitors to put themselves inside the paintings, and a special experience of “walking” through Dali’s 1934 painting “Archaeological Reminiscence of Millet’s Angelus”) and one in the gift shop on the way out. Each one offers a different experience when you push a doorbell on the board to get Dali’s attention. The most surprising thing about “Dali Lives” is that you’re dealing with a version of the artist himself. It looks like Dali, it sounds like Dali, it is Dali. The museum worked together with the San Francisco advertising agency Goodby Silvrstein&Partners to achieve this, feeding hundreds of new interviews and words from his written works into an artificial intelligence system to recreate the artist. The result was a living, moving version of Dali ready to converse with anyone there, answering their questions.“Dali himself was at the forefront of technology and was always experimenting with and trying new things,” says Beth Bell, marketing director at the Dali Museum. “we think he would have loved these types of things. It’s in the spirit of Dali himself.24.What can we know about Dali from the text?A.He was a modest surrealist.B.He once lived in St. Petersburg.C.He produced a lot of works of art.D.He came up with the idea of “Dali Lives”.25.What can visitors do at the exhibition “Dali Lives”?A.Learn painting skills.B.Get a surprising gift from Dali.C.Watch lots of interviews with Dali.D.Enjoy the magic of modern technology.26.What does the underlined word “converse” in Paragraph 3 mean?A.Live. B.Talk. C.Play. D.Work.27.What is the best title of the text?A.Dali — A Famous Painter B.Dali — A Spanish SurrealistC.A Different Exhibition D.Meet With DaliCHave you ever looked at a seal and thought “Is that the same seal I saw yesterday?” Well, there could soon be an app for that. Taking inspiration from other technology adapted for recognizing primates (灵长目动物) and bears, Krista Ingram, a biologist at Colgate University, developed SealNet, the software that uses deep learning and a convolutional neural network (卷积神经网络) to tell one seal face from another. The team had to train their software to identify seal faces. “I give it a photograph, it finds the face, and clips it to a standard size,” says Ingram. They tested the software using 406 different seals and found that SealNet could correctly identify the seals’ faces 85 percent of the time. The team has since expanded its database to include around 1,500 seal faces. As the number of seals logged in the database goes up, so does the accuracy of the identification, Ingram says.As with all tech, however, SealNet is not always infallible. The software saw seal faces in other body parts, vegetation, and even rocks. In one case, Ingram and her students did a double take at the uncanny (不可思议的) resemblance between a rock and a seal face.Ingram points to site fidelity (忠诚) as an aspect of seal behavior that SealNet could shed more light on. The team’s trials indicated that some harbor seals return to the same sites year after year. Increasing scientists’ understanding of how seals move around could strengthen arguments for protecting specific areas, says Anders Galatius, an ecologist at Aarhus University in Denmark who was not involved in the project.28.What is the main function of SealNet?A.Distinguishing different seals. B.Recognizing primates and bears.C.Taking pictures for various animals. D.Clipping photos to a standard size.29.How can the accuracy of SealNet be improved?A.By taking detailed pictures. B.By uploading more seal faces.C.By upgrading the technology. D.By improving the skills of users.30.What does the underlined word “infallible” mean in paragraph 4?A.Unique. B.Scientific. C.Convenient. D.Reliable.31.What is the significance of SealNet?A.It can help find more seals. B.It can help better protect seals.C.It can help locate a specific seal. D.It can help learn about seals.DMigraine is a disease that has a number of symptoms (症状), including head pain that can stick around from four hours to several days. While migraines can happen partly because of genetic (基因的) problems, attacks may happen by chance, set off by a cause in the environment. One common cause is food, and some common dietary causes include alcohol, salt, sugar, chocolate, and caffeine. But there are many others, and scientists continue to identify more. Last year, for example, a Brazilian study found that watermelons brought on a headache within minutes in about 30 percent of the participants. Some new researches are looking at which foods and what kinds of diets can prevent or lessen migraines. A new study published last year by a team of researchers found that a diet higher in fish oils rather than vegetable oils helped people ease their headaches. In the study, those on a diet lower in vegetable oil and higher in fatty fish had a 30 to 40 percent reduction in total headache hours per day, serious headache hours per day, and overall headache days per month compared to the control group.Tanya Kamka had suffered weekly migraines for most of her life. Then, in her 50s, she joined the NIH diet experiment and increased her intake of fish. After only a few months, “I haven’t had a migraine, not even a mild one, in over two years.” she says. For others, the solution comes from plants, not fish. A 60-year-old man joined a study on the food-migraine link and turned to a diet, which includes a lot of dark, leafy greens. After two months he was experiencing only one migraine a month instead of the 18 to 24 a month he’d suffered before.Clearly, people with migraines react to food in very different ways. What works for one person may not work for another.32.What do we know about migraine from paragraph 1?A.It is related to sleep time. B.It never runs in the family.C.It lasts for at least three hours. D.It can be caused by the environment.33.What is paragraph 2 mainly about?A.The length of migraine. B.Foods that lead to migraine.C.The most common cause of migraine. D.A Brazilian study about migraine.34.What can lessen migraines according to a new study published last year?A.Fish oils. B.Vegetable oils.C.All kinds of fat. D.Various Vegetables.35.Which is the author’s opinion about the effect of food on migraines?A.It varies from person to person. B.It can only stay for a short time.C.It depends on the age of a patient. D.It is connected to how much one takes.第二节(共5小题;每小题2. 5分,满分12. 5分)根据下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。If you plan to attend a foreign university, how can you achieve the best? ___36___ But what are courses in foreign colleges like?
