A Special Gift

People often give gifts to show their family affection, friendship and love. I have received many gifts and the most special one is a hand-made calendar.

It was made by my best friend Andy on my 14th birthday. On each page of the calendar, there is a picture of Andy and me with some encouraging words he wrote.

The gift is special to me because it is a memory of the wonderful time we spent together. Besides, the words on it encourage me to keep trying whenever I want to give up in the face of difficulties. Thanks to his gift, I have become more confident, and solved many problems by myself. What’s more, I have learned the importance of friendship.

Whenever I look at the calendar, I am touched by something warm, and my heart is filled with love. I will keep this special gift forever.
